Until I hear an apology for the BLATENT late hit on Wilson, I have no sympathy over any call that went against the niners.

Say what?!!! Beetween his cut blocking and urinating in his uniform - that's disgusting!!! Never knew that about him. He seems so civilized now on ESPN.

Nothing wrong with cut blocking, its been part of the game for a long time and players are taught to protect themselves. If it weren't for cut blocking Mark Schlereth would never have made a team. He used to tell the defensive players at the beginning of the game "watch your legs." Beetween his cut blocking and urinating in his uniform, no one wanted any part of him. He did what it took and it earned him Super Bowl ringand a job as an analyst.

He said he would have to pee because he was always hydrating. but couldn't leave the sideline. "I wasn't going to be uncomfortable so I would let it go right there." I can relate, as a former bush pilot I used to carry a One gallon milk jug with me. When you gotta go, you gotta go. But anyway, thats where he earned the nickname "stink." Who knows what else he used to do in his uniform. I read in espn mag where Alexander ran in to Tobeck who was really sick and he crapped his drawers. And Carson Palmer yelled at his center because his hands stunk after receiving the ball. I imagine it can get pretty nasty out there with no outhouse on the sidelines.

Interesting........oh well, if the NFL doesn't fine Sweezy for the block later this week then it must be a legal play just like their own coach said.

Also, they just called JR a dirty player on ESPN's Sportsnation.

Remember this Patrick?

Now, Patrick didn't "have" to hit Matt like that he could have just touched him down, But, NO! He saw this as an opportunity to injury a player on the other team.... Was this a legal hit on Matt?, Yes... Did it have to be made?, No!.... Stop crying Willis and take this loss like a man.

I was at that game, and the stinking fans were cheering the injury. They were chanting F--k the Seahawks the whole time he was on the ground. Then those classy fans threw drinks on a 10 or 11 year old girl wearing a Seahawks jersy. I have no sympathy for them, or their fanbase.

Yea after that hit on Hass a few years ago Willis is the last guy who needs to be flapping his gums about unnecessary hits.

These guys are just looking for excuses. If the guy gets his feet up and doesn't get hurt no one says a word. I'm sure that wasn't the only block that was low. Get over it, we got called on so many BS/phantom holding calls so the refs could keep those little girls in the game it was sad.

This is coming from a guy that took a clear 'legitimate shot' at Hasselbeck that he didn't have to and broke Matt's ribs.....

This sounds more like the whining and crying of being a poor sport crybaby than a guy that is real concerned about player safety.....
Wasn't that shot @ Hasselbeck to save a touchdown? Totally necessary imo.

OT:
AFAIK the owners get together every year to discuss rule changes. That ball spinning is unsportsmanlike and cut blocks a-ok seems ridiculous but thats their emphasis.

I hate that blocking technique and agree something needs to be done about it. As of now, as Harbaugh agreed, it's a legal play.

That aside, the 9ers would have less rings if not for the cut block. When I hear the very term...I instantly think SF. They can't have it both ways.

The hit on Wilson was not illegal, let's make that clear.

It was, however, what Harbaugh has been whining about.

The hypocritical part is that he doesn't want other teams to hit his QB, but has no problem with his team hitting opposing QBs in the same situation.

I have no problem that they hit Wilson in and of itself. That is how the rules are set up, the 49ers did nothing wrong there.

It's just dumb of Harbaugh to whine about it for his QB and his QB only.

And yeah, Willis gets no sympathy here. Ever since that cheap shot on Hasselbeck I have had no respect for him. Keep in mind that Hass was coming off that back injury from the previous season. That was a direct target to try and injure Hasselbeck's back again.

That wasn't a late hit on Wilson. that is what harbaugh has been trying to get clarified by the competition committee.

My problem with that hit was he lowered his head and hit Russell with the crown of his helmet on the chin.

There was also the one where Russell slide and he got hit in the head with a forearm.

I'm honestly surprised they called the facemask.

Cut blocks have been around for decades and the rules revised. They don't cause an injury all that often and no more then any other block. It is not a cheap shot The 49ers in there heyday were one of the creators of the cut block in the NFL. Sort of ironic.
Saw a post on a 49er forum yesterday that took great pride in claiming that the 49er's invented the cut block and leg wip ...... and have used those techniques for decades. A statement I think to have some valitity.

Actually what harbaugh is arguing is a strike zone on the qbs in that position. If brooks would of went for his legs that couldve caused a serious injury. But remember pete carol stated that he had no problems with qbs being hit like a rbif they are "unprotected" carol was giving the ref an ear full after that play.

I remember that hit hasselback. Willis was stopping him from going for a touchdown. But if 49er fans were cheering after that hit that is unacceptable

If you read his lips, he is cheering the huge run on that play. He is saying "That a baby!" It doesn't show him yelling at a ref, it shows a close up of his face just yelling.

The commentators mistakenly said he was angry about Wilson being hit, but they just misunderstood his intensity. If you rewatch the video, you can read his lips and see for yourself.

There's only one injury I feel bad for the guy about and thats Reid, hurt his head/neck doing a textbook tackle.

It isn't illegal to cut block but we did it, like it wasn't illegal to light our QB up but they did it. No sympathy, they're lucky we didn't get a hold of their QB for what they were doing to ours.

So cheap shot artists? go ahead and call us that, but you're being a hypocrite.

The Wilson slide and the blatant forearm to the head was bad. Leveling Wilson was legal, but hypocritical of Harbaugh to whine about and then coach his players to execute. They had multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and we are the dirty team? GTFOH!
