That sucks. If he starts the year on IR, can he come back? I'm thinking this means he misses the entire season. :(

FB is the position I haven't see Fluery talk a lot about...more mixed backfield using WR, TE, etc. Not that he ruled out FB...obviously SF is highly effective utilizing the position. I'm curious to see how that position iterates with the new O schemes.

I was personally excited to see FB being brought back and loved what OOOTZ did in PS and early last year. His injury faded the trajectory a bit.

The team can designate up to two players who are on IR at the time of cutting the roster to 53, that can return mid-season. He would have to miss at least four games.

If he is not one of the two, he would have to miss the entire season.

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t designate him, unless you had two bigger names that get injured before cut downs.

Thanks for the clarification. It all depends on the injury, I guess.

In the whole scheme of things this does hurt a bit. But, IMHO, only a little. Considering the weapons on offense, and the use of those weapons within a new scheme, and the fact we still have a vet, and maybe equally as talented Brady Russel.....this barely moves the needle. The true pain comes from the lost hope for Robbie. He is more of a favorite than a real force. Still, not good news.

I feel for Outz. Can't mess with a neck injury. It's Brady Russell time though. Got peed on by a GOAT on the first episode of Hard Knocks so that's gotta be good luck I would think.
