I agree that the NFL should have field standards. They have standards for everything else down to the shoelaces. It's an absolute embarrassment to the league for a playoff game to be played on that kind of field. I know in England in the Premier soccer league they have rigid standards and the grounds crew live and die to make the best possible field conditions. I think they even give out awards and stuff.

Playing on the horrible Redskins turf.

It injured too many people, and impacted the game numerous times.

1. it probably injured RG3.

2. Chris Clemons got his foot caught in the turf, and got a (likely) torn ACL

3. Hauschka tweaked his ankle, no doubt to the turf.

4. Golden Tate tried to spin away from his guy to get the 1st down in the 2nd quarter (redzone), and slipped, no doubt due to that horrible turf.

Dan Snyders got tons of money, but he can't upgrade that turf.

Did I miss any?
No, that pretty much covers most everything except.....The Redskins are most familiar with playing there, and they see it as an advantage...Seahawks ONLY have C-Link, and the loudmouth 12th man fans.

And guess where AP tore his ACL? Washington.
Completely different circumstance. AP's injury was entirely on getting hit in the side of his knee on a tackle. It wouldn't have mattered where he was playing.

The question should be, does it cost more to fix the turf then it does to toss away three #1 overall draft picks and a star that is drawing top dollar merchandise sales? No.

Worst Field: What exactly happened to the grass stuff at FedEx Field? Grenade droid dodgeball? World jack-hammering finals? Prairie dog convention? Did not exactly look pristine. “Redskins have a hard one-cut runner, and a track-speed QB, on a field that’s a fuzzy green slip n’ slide,” Steve Czaban put it on Twitter. “That’s an owner issue.”

FedEx Field’s playing surface looked like the aftermath of a monster truck rally. A gash of brown dirt dotted by the token shred of grass stretched from end zone to end zone. The logo at midfield was too blurred to recognize. Hunks of turf went missing in the sections fortunate to retain any green.

Not the field. It probably had more to do with that poster who brought up our lack of injuries last week. Now if only we can figure out who that was. . .

Is Snyder richer than Paul Allen? Just asking ...

Paul Allen could buy Snyder 20 times over.
I read something a couple of years ago that said Paul Allen is obviously the richest owner in the NFL and that he is richer than the next 9 owners in the top 10 combined. That folks, is STINKING rich!!
