Ok. Got lucky and stumbled upon the play quite quickly. Not a lot to say about it. Rookie guard wins his 1 on 1, but the rest of the pass rush is already behind him. Maybe he should have fallen back with the rest of the crap o-line, but it wouldn’t have made a difference. Forsythe, at right tackle, whiffed on Williams, giving him a lane to Geno.
I’m not sure how much we can take away from a 2-year-old play, by a rookie player, coached by two of the worst in Waldron and Dickerson
whoops. Got a copyright strike and had to modify.
Possibly the line call is all wrong here - sets up a 3 on 2 against Bradford and RT - but more likely than not it is Charbonnet who screws up here.
Ends up a 5 man rush. Centre and Bradford both block left, leaving RT with a 2 on 1, RT blocks right leaving a free man rushing. This should be Charbonnet's responsibility to pick up but he cuts inside and takes himself out of the block leaving the free man to easily get around him.
For what it's worth Bradford wins his block here quite handily and better than anybody else - his rusher gets pushed a mile away from the scrum and away from the action and ultimately contributes nothing to the rush. The free rusher that Charbonnet should have picked up gets through more easily than he should which I think trips up Forsyth as well - who is ultimately the player who loses his block and gives up the sack.
