Kinda funny story. My sister and niece were over for Christmas (they live in Pittsburgh and don't see them all the time). We were chatting and my niece casually dropped "Oh, yeah. I went to high school with Cole Young". I've honestly been excited for him to get up to Seattle since they drafted him. Should start year in Tacoma but will be here sooner than later, I think.

They haven't done anything at 2nd yet so why not just have Young in the opening day line up. Lazaro maybe too. Unless they'll save money by keeping them in the farm. They could have Edgar hawk eye them in ST see if they're ready. Can they square up a 95+mph fast ball? That's really what hitting is mostly about now with all these pitchers throwing so hard.

They have been drafting more position players over the last several years. Would be nice to see a couple of them move up to the bigs and have success.

How can the starting post on a thread be OT (off topic)?

Ahhhh. Good point. I was being cautious with the post as it wasn't quite 100% about my favorite baseball team. More about who my niece knows. :)
