Has there been any talk about Bailey or Bowie being moved back to guard where I think they played in College? These guys are too talented to leave on the bench. I am new and it is exciting to talk with the greatest fans in the NFL

Welcome! Cool graphic.

Nothing on Bailey or Bowie at guard...seems like they like McQ/Carp at LG and Sweezy/Moffitt at RG. Bailey seems to be solidifying his spot as Okung's back-up.

Not yet, but then again, it's still early. This time a year ago, Wilson was the #2 QB, and JR Sweezy was a feel good story in camp. I have to believe that if Bailey dominates again vs. the Broncos that Pete will find a spot for him to compete at for a starting job. If Bailey looks like our 3rd best lineman by the end of the preseason, I can't imagine that Pete would feel great about having him on the bench.

In addition to playing left tackle, I'd like to see Bailey play some time at LG against Denver.

Let him start competing for that spot. And if he can play as well at guard as he did tackle, who knows, he might just replace Paul McQuistan as the swing tackle/guard who can adequately replace Carpenter if (when?) he's needed.

:2: And since Bailey is my last name do you think I am rooting for him?

Gives me a reason for a new jersey....

With injuries mounting around the league teams are going to be scouting us hard with the points our back ups are limiting teams to and putting up wanting to know why and who is making that possible, hiding anyone is going to be real tough.

I wish they would stick one of them at right tackle. That was the worst spot on our offensive line in the San Diego game.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tom Cable continue his evaluations thru fielding different combinations
of linemen in the second preseason game. Expecially in the second half.

I think that Moffit gets cut; I can't see him making this team... Alvin Bailey will either play left guard or overtake Breno (in which James Carpenter slides into that spot) and Bowie will probably challenge Sweezy. I think the staff enjoys Moffit and his off the wall personality is a great intangible to team chemistry couples with his intelligence but Sweezy's ceiling is higher. The only thing that changes this equation is if Carpenter is out.

Sometimes we argue a bit about individuals and positions, but I love the Cable philosophy of having the OL guys learn more than one position. It helps cure the dreaded injury bug. Remember 2011 when 3/5 of the OL went out with injuries? There was much concern and gnashing of teeth, but we played through it pretty well.

Funny, the Seahawks have had several "OL gurus" come through here in the last 10 years or so. Cable seems to be the first to really live up to the task. For the first time in years, I'm not really concerned about the OL. It is, in many ways, a strength, IMHO.
