Carpenter would be my guess. More experienced and he has the size to truly stand up with Knighton. Best matchup for that guy that we have in my opinion.

Carroll said he was going back to McQ and Carp. I don't think he liked what he saw at of Bowie. It was in a Carroll press conference last week.

As much as I am not a fan of Carp, he does have the size to deal with Pork Butt.

The two idiots on ESPN radio, Mike and Mike, had Justin Tuck as a guest this morning. Justin mentioned that the Seahawks OL is not very physical. That caught me by surprise. Wow...really they aren't physical? I guess physicality is subjective depending on who you speak with. With that said, there needs to be an upgrade pretty much across the board on OL.

I would say Sweezy and Breno are as physical as an O-Line can be.

I think Carp knows what to do but is lazy and needed to face the reality of some competition for his job. If he can't get up for a Super Bowl game or a Conference Championships we don't want him around. At times he is a physically dominating player who makes things happen and then there are also times where he's lazy or unfocused and appears lost. Getting his A game will be important for the team on Sunday.

Then I read the bottom of that article: Unger, Carpenter and Sweezy all have negative run blocking grades....FOR THE SEASON. That doesn't sound overly physical to me.
Look at games like Arizona, Carolina, STL, etc. Physical Dlines don't just do well against our OL, they make them look terrible. Interior OL is the weakest part of our entire team. I honestly don't know how our fans just don't get that.

I personally don't care how these stats and numbers (grades) show. I watch the games and I focus on the o-line. I SEE the toughness. They have made some nice creases for the Beast to get thru.

I don't doubt their toughness. But I do doubt the overall talent level...
Regardless of what the coaches say or what some fans think, the fact that we were still shuffling our O line heading into the NFC Championship game speaks volumes.
I am hoping offensive line is Priority #1 for the off-season, closely followed by a new long term deal for Earl Thomas and a large, play making WR.
If we had 2005's offensive line, we would score 40+ points a game.
Regardless of what the coaches say or what some fans think, the fact that we were still shuffling our O line heading into the NFC Championship game speaks volumes.

Greg, nobody is saying they are the best, but after having our bookends out for half a season and still winning 15 games shows tenacity, and it is to be given credit where it is due, to the players.
