I like Sewell.

Instant impact player and has good size and speed.

From watching tape on Oregon, he has good coverage instincts.

Would not be a bad pick if he’s available in Round 2.

He's one of my draft wishes. Wouldn't use a 1st but 2nd and beyond? Absolutely.

He appears to have the physical mass and strength and movement to deal with offensive linemen. So, the defense wouldn't be restricted to big linemen that must keep linebackers clean. Gives the defensive line flexibility for their rotation.

Quarterback background is an instinctive plus.

Nice choice.

He's not good in pass coverage but a menace in rushing the QB.

Seahawk fans complain that Barton gets washed on run plays and has trouble shedding blocks. I suggest we draft the premier player at just that. Fans say no thanks. We want a coverage Linebacker. Wut?

If you want a Linebacker for coverage purposes only, then you might as well roll with Barton.

Fans aren't the most rational thinkers, and frequently severely contradict themselves.

I just don't see the quickness. I think he has a good grasp of the game, he seems to understand how plays develop, but at an NFL speed I think his lack of quickness is going to catch up to him. He also gets pushed around quite a bit. It's a little odd considering that he's a fast guy. Maybe timid?

Perhaps it's about assignments. A difference in the look of attack assignments compared to the look of read and react assignments.

In any case, I've learned to never under estimate the will of a Samoan.
