Man…he’s incredible but, I feel like these type of deals break a team UNLESS…they’re in that window.

Are the Niners as good as they think they are?

I don’t think so….I think we’re giving it to them this year.

What would be better, Hawks win both matchups and look better, or, we rekindle the rivalry and play epic down to the last minute games for another rivalry reboot?

The deal is worth it if he manages to stay healthy. Not likely.

The 49ers will have Trent Williams off of the books by the time Bosa's cap numbers start to balloon, combined with the cap going up it.can be afforded. They will need to find a LT in the draft pronto though. To Rob Peter to pay Paul.

Kyle can't keep his QB's healthy, so it is all moot anyway.

LT for sure 1st round target this year.
Yeah....

....they have their 1, 2, 3 3s and 2 4s.

My guess is more than one of those picks will be tackles.

They've been pretty good at taking guys a year before they need them (Aaron Banks before Laken Tomlinson, Hufanga before Jaquiski Tartt).

This year its likely Ji'Ayer Brown to replace Gipson next year.

...but under the radar a bit....they also selected 2 TEs.

Their window I feel is closing both financially and age wise. I believe after this season they start to go the direction of the current Rams..speculation of course.

Just one more piece of the puzzle that will vault the Seahawks back into having a stranglehold on the NFC West.

This thread is hilarious! Whether Bosa is signed or not, you would spin rationalizations to prove it hurts the 49ers. When people ask why is a 49er fan on a Seahawks message board, now you know!

These contracts never work out for the team. At best you overpay to be dominant in an area, and at worst you destroy the team's cap while simultaneously having a mediocre/bad record.
The niners are expecting Purdy to play at a high enough level that they can use that savings on Bosa, similar to how the Hawks were temporarily in a great cap situation with Wilson. Unfortunately Purdy isn't Wilson, and Bosa isn't the legion of boom
