Unfortunately the NFL app is one that prevents screencasting. Believe me, I've tried (we're cordcutters so every time a game is only on ESPN we're scrambling to find another way to watch it)

Just connect an hdmi cable from your computer to the tv.

HDMI has a copy protection 'feature'. The NFL app uses that flag.

End result: 7 day trial for NFL+, which allows viewing on ipad/iphone (but not on apple TV). I'll provide feedback on that when I cancel after the game.
