This.

Do as I say, not as I OVER do.

It's rampant. I have to say, slightly off topic - try and watch a Blue Jays game on Sportsnet in Canada. Oh. My. God. It's like Bet365 is the only thing in the universe. The ONLY reason to watch is supposedly to bet.

Didn't like those Jamie Foxx MGM ads neither. Didn't like the manning's shit with the Smoove dude. It's just too much. And there's too much smoke there for there to not be a fire. The league has seemingly demonstrated to me - XL? Munich? Countless other holding call examples in 4th quarters (and not just with us) that if they desire a particular result, well - they're gonna get that result.

In bed? I wish there were a more descriptive way to put it. It's not just 'in bed'. It's a giant sticky MDMA orgy with glow sticks. The only thing missing is the Dwarf tossing competition and a horse!!!!!!
Well, I'm not going to go so far as embrace more conspiracy theories. But we're in full agreement about this gambling issue. A lot of the NFL's audience are kids who don't understand how addictive gambling can become. We teach our kids about drugs, alcohol, tobacco, but not much is done to educate them about the dangers of gambling.

I guess I don't see the problem.. it's just a slot machine with NFL logos on it instead of other designs. This doesn't encourage players and coaches to bet. I don't see it as hypocritical.

XL is the obvious game that took my blind Innocence, but so many other instances of blatant game steering have happened . Namely the non Interference call in the Rams vs Saints playoff game.

There's NO way that you can spin that any other way than corrupt people making a team win at the other team's expense.

The concern isn't about the players and coaches. It's the sanctioning of a very dangerous vice. They might as well be slapping NFL logos on beer cans or packs of cigarettes.

I don't see gambling as any different than alcohol, which by the way there have been beer mugs, holders, etc that have had NFL logos on them for decades. Hell, they sell alcohol at the games, too.

Most people can enjoy these things responsibly. People can get addicted to video games, too, but I'm not going to blame the NFL for letting developers use their logo and players for making video games.

Logos on Slots, what else is Vegas and Gambling in general taking advantage of having the NFL there. Oh and tell me there is no Organized crime involved which leads to questions about integrity.

Yeah, now that you mention it, they do. When I was in Green Bay to watch the Packers-Seahawks a few years back, prior to the game, I was mingling with the pregame crowd and sat down at a table with both Hawks and Packers fans, our fan ID noted by our 'colors'.

All they sold was canned beer as it's a neighborhood stadium with no nearby permanent restaurants or bars, just temporary structures and seating, and I bought one with a label that said, "Green 19".

A couple of Packers fans I was sitting with began to tease me, saying "Look, he's drinking a Packers beer. We converted him into a Packer Backer!" to which I replied "Nope. Washington hops." A couple Hawks fans started laughing while the Packers fans clearly didn't understand my statement, so I said...

Listen, 80% of all the hops in the United States are grown in Washington, so there's a 4 in 5 chance I'm drinking a Washington beer, so STFU!!"

Beautiful.

And the majority of those hops come from Eastern WA. On a side note I bet the Green Bay experience was cool. I hate them but respect their fans ( kinda)
and their history. You'll have to write about it one day if you haven't already.

And the majority of eastern WA hops come from the Yakima Valley, about 20 miles from where I live.

The Green Bay experience was fantastic, but I didn't like the stadium seating as they were just bench seats with no backs and the risers on their steps in the aisleway were huge, making it difficult for someone like me with a bum knee. Worst NFL stadium I've been in with regard to seating, and I've been in a dozen venues.

I had a friend who went to Green Bay and watched us lose to the Packers, and the Green Bay fans were buying him beers..."It must suck to come all the way out here and see your team lose. Buy that man a beer! Great fans, we had a blast.
