Funny thing, the last time we played them at home (2003) the game was officiated by our favorite ref:

They will make a re-match where possible. It is not always possible to have a conference championship rematch because the schedule it predetermined before such matchups take place. There is a unique possibility that the SB winner will host the runner-up the next season. Don't think that has happened before (and as of now...yet.)HansGruber":s62lfqwm said:BlueTalons":s62lfqwm said:The Mariners would bend over backwards to allow this to happen...however the Mariners do not play at home on Sept. 4th anyway. In the Ravens case...if the Orioles HAD accommodated, it would NOT have been versus the Broncos as they were scheduled play in Denver regardless.RichNhansom":s62lfqwm said:Yes Baltimore played at Denver because their baseball team wouldn't work with them...
Baltimore was supposed to open the season at home, as the Champion does every season. They were forced to play in Denver because the lame Orioles were unwilling to work with them (as if anyone cares about MLB).
Traditionally, the season opens with a rematch of each conference championship game.
