STUD !! So glad he’s on our team. He and this defense are striving to be the top defensive unit very quickly.

Should have been an easy decision, although I wondered if they might give it to Jalen Carter since it was a primetime game against two better teams, and they had just given it to a Seahawk the prior week, which shouldn't matter but possibly does.

With how close LW was to taking it last week, I was curious when the last time a player won NFC DPOW in back to back weeks. Apparently, they don't like doing that, because it hasn't happened since DT La'Roi Glover took it for the Saints in weeks 6 and 7 of the 2000 season. He had three sacks in both games. He would win the award again in week 13, when he again, notched three sacks.

It looks like this is the third time Williams has won, having taken in weeks 13 and 17 in 2020. Interestingly enough, that week 13 award was in a game at the Seahawks. In a 17-12 Giants win, Williams notched 2.5 sacks and had five QB hits, with nobody else on either team having more than one.

Remember the thread questioning whether he was worth the value we gave up to get him?

JS gets a lot of crap hurled his way of late. Sure, he has missed some, but the truth is, at the end of the day when we win the Owl, John will have been the man behind getting Macdonald here, bringing Big Cat in, E Jones, picking Spoon over carter, getting 2 cornerstone tackles in one draft, a franchise RB, a to be franchise WR, a future franchise DT to go alongside Carter, and most every other piece that got us there.

He isnt perfect, but no one is.

Glad he is with us and fired up we have a DL with Big Cat and company wrecking offenses every week.

I, for one, thought that the price for Williams this off-season--$63 million/3 years--was high for a 30 year old DT. I take that back now, especially after seeing what Christian Wilkins and Jeffrey Simmons got. Right now, there are at least 12 DTs making more than Williams.

Vikings DE Jonathan Greenard got NFC Defensive Player of the Month, but I hope Williams at least made the decision difficult.

Williams has a great start for December
Ah, that's right, Sunday was the first of the month. I wonder if it would have made any difference if that game had happened a day earlier. Greenard had a pretty insane November.

If he would not have gotten it….

I would consider believing the Earth is flat and the moon landing was faked.
