Whoever it is, I hope they don't stray too far from what we were doing this year.

If Benton sticks around, I will be happy.
John Benton joined the Seahawks staff as offensive line coach on February 11, 2025. Benton, a 33-year veteran in the coaching ranks, including 19 in the NFL, spent the 2024 season in the same role with the New Orleans Saints. Of the NFL offensive lines he has directed since 2004, seven of them finished in the Top 10 in the NFL in rushing yards per game.

In case anyone needs any background info on Benton...I think this would be a great move personally!

Scheme is one thing, calling plays and having a feel for the game on the fly is another. Jury will be out and watching very, very, very close. Some people can do it and others just are to mechnical and predictable.

Saying that, I think OUR best guy for this is inside the clubhouse if one is there.

I'm betting Outten he has been handling the Run game since Kennedy left and Mike has publicly praised him for that plus I think Denton likes it here I guess we'll find out soon

I'm not a fan of hiring from within. Look at how it's worked out for the Lions.

Yeah, but it's mid-February. We're going on being six weeks behind the rest of the league looking for coaches. If they have a credible candidate on staff, it's probably best to not re-invent the wheel while maintaining some of the existing offensive staff who want to stay.

How excited would you be to join a team that just won the SB?

Coaches already under contract might be salivating at the idea...

There's a case to be made for both Janocko & Outten.

Janocko has experience coaching QB's, WR's, and OL, and although he's never been a playcaller, MM gave him play calling duties at both Fan Fest and the preseason game against the Packers, IIRC.

Outten has play calling experience, and has been behind the run game resurgence, which was vital to them winning the super bowl.

However, Seahawks content creators seem to think Janocko will follow Kubiak to Vegas to be his OC.

As for Peetz, after MM immediately shot down the idea that he would replace Grubb last year, I'm not sure he would be a candidate this time around, either.

Is it going to be janocko
We will see , stay tuned
Hope so. Based on glowing reviews about him by David Carr, I’ve thought he would be the next guy. Carr had both as coaches in NO, and sounded like he’s a huge fan of both coaches.
