Seahawks LS Clint Gresham, an RFA, has agreed to a two-year, $1.655M contract, per league source. Now signed through 2014

Guess our long snapper's good to go for the next two seasons. :)

This had to happen if Pete and John intend to cut any of this year's draft picks..........that's right, looking at you Chris Harper. If you cut a draft pick, their signing bonus get's accelerated under this year's cap. Which for the Hawks spells trouble, as we're already up against the cap, and Harper's bonus was like 300k.

Nice.

To anyone that was suggesting the team dump Gresham in an effort to role over cap room for next year. Two Words.

BOONE STUTZ.

BOONE STUTZ.

Anyone who was a Seahawks fan during the Boone Stutz era will never underappreciate a long snapper ever again.

Clint Gresham is solid and I'm glad they locked him up.

I was hoping for someone a little more French, but this guy will do.

Don't underestimate the importance of this signing. I remember the disaster we had at Long Snapper after the Love of Pehawk's life (J.P. Darche) left.

I am extremely jacked about this signing. :th2thumbs:

This is a great deal from the Hawks side of it. Gresham was set to make $1.323 million this season on his 1-year deal, now he'll get just a little over $300K more than that over the next TWO seasons combined.

I love this move, but only because Gresham looks like me. Yes, he looks like me (not the other way around) because I'm older and called this look first.

"Tiny contract."

Gresham's new contract is basically for the league minimum. Hard to save money there. :) But hey, job security is always nice to have.

Makes sense. Clint Gresham is more Mormon looking than Darrell Bevell, who is actually a Mormon.

LS is one of those positions that you don't want to have to worry about. As was mentioned above, when we lost JP Darche, it actually took a couple of years and some moves to replace him. I like this move.
