Tremendous news. Pete Kept saying, "he's fine, he's fine," but Miller's health was my biggest worry heading into the season. I feel a lot better with a tangible move in the right direction.

This news has me almost as stoked as the Harvin news made me sad. Just kidding. I'm actually happier than that (since I wasn't too depressed by the Harvin news.)

"Next week, he'll be much more involved," Carroll said. "Again, we'll continue to be very measured how we bring him back in.

I'm excited for Jordan Hill .....
"Jordan has had a really good week again," Carroll said. "He played actively in the first game. He'll get the start in this game. We'll see him out there first. He'll also play on third downs so we'll get a great look at him."

And then there is Phil Bates as a ...... fullback?
"He's a big kid, he's 233 pounds when we started this experiment, moving him to fullback," Carroll said. "He's a really good all-around football player. He'll be 240 within another week."

But still, fullback?

"We love that he's really fast, and he's a terrific catcher," Carroll said of Bates.

This is huge for us as well as the development of our young TEs. The media loves to hype today's new, sexy TEs that make circus catches and stretch the field... but few of those can do what Miller can. He's one player I feel we owe.

I guess Harvin is ahead of schedule too, according to my facebook feed.

If the Seahawks are truly a "run first" team, then Miller is a critical cog with respect to blocking, sealing the edge or motioning to the interior. He consistently makes plays receiving as well. A perfect fit for the team's offensive philosophy.

We need him healthy for the entire season.
