...Terry Blount, who will cover the Seattle Seahawks. I'll be shifting to a newly created role as ESPN Insider NFL columnist.

So they are shifting to a 32 team coverage instead of the Divisional Coverage.

Heres what upsets me. Firstly, Sando is the best at his job compared to numerous hacks out there. Thats a fact. Secondly, who the hell is this Terry Blount guy? If its the currently employed blogger at ESPN, he's been covering MOTORSPORTS RACING for the last 25 years. WOOHOO, WERE GETTING SHAFTED AGAIN BOYS!!

That does suck. When I heard the plan to have an ESPN writer for every team I assumed we would get Sando. Bummer

Sando has been a Seahawks homer from the start, even though he'd say he wasn't. He will be missed reporting on the team.

I suspect his insider status will allow him to dig more deeply into his spreadsheets, technical minutiae, and roster charts.

If he dug any further he would eventually divide by zero killing us all.

I liked having one writer for each division. It allowed me to stay up-to-date with all the news going on within the division easily. No way am I going to put much effort into looking at the 49ers, Rams, and Cardinals blogs. It was nice having all their news in the same place I was going to read about the Seahawks.

Totally agree with Hawfan72. I like knowing what's up with the division, and I don't have time to search for it, and I don't like having to deal with the majority of other fans, as we're all territorial and sometimes childish when it comes to people coming to "your website".

This will definately keep me from reading ESPN daily during the season.

I totally agree. The current or old format was a great way for me to stay up on the division, and that helped fuel the rivalry as far as I was concerned. Plus, I would occasionally check out some of the other writers assigned to other divisions, and man did they suck. Sando was easily the best. Double bummer.

His blog is great. Now it looks like I will see the first paragraph of his articles. :(

I liked most of what Sando said about out Hawks but what does it matter? All the good news comes from .net. :)

The format change does such. I think ESPN may have been the only one (or one of few) that did coverage by division. Wish they just would have replaced him and kept the same format. At the same, it's cool to see Sando's rise in eminence. He has a real cool career niche he's carved out for himself. He definitely works harder than the other divisional bloggers.
