According to Wilson, Rodgers and him were love at first sight after they met, this guy is the real "almost a father to him". I guess it would be reasonable to assume that the two thinks alike?

I caught John's comment too, pretty obvious who he was referring to. I'd read something last year, right after the trade, that the team (Schneider) had no interest in another contract negotiation with Russell's agent. From what I've read, Mark Rodgers is known for being not just a tough negotiator, but tough to deal with, as in tolerate. I get that business is business, but if you take that as a green light to be a condescending pr*ck, it will eventually come back to bite you.

It already has, Wilson looked a gift Horse in the mouth here, he had everything and just needed to be a team mate and not a Brand Booster. Now he is coming off his worst season after he did it HIS way. Only to have the coach he wanted take hold of the team and not cater to Team Unlimited.

This decomposition of Wilsons career should be a interesting side note to watch next season.
