I love you guys but I'll never understand the hatred that has lasted for years for a dude that was near league best for a decade and was what Lynch called one of the greatest teammates he ever had because the guy went to battle on the field, played hurt and never quit. How he left was cornballish on his part and I totally get rooting against him, not liking him becaue of it or whatever but you guys seem to truly HATE him on a personal level and act like he was trash the whole time he was here.....that I don't get.

I get not liking players. I never liked Geno at the guy drove me nuts. But I will also respect him for that initial stretch of very good football. One of my least favorite players ever but he was also damn good for a stretch.

Because he was a liar, a phony, tried to undermine the team for his own personal interests, get our GM and Coach fired, anything else? You can respect the game he played till it was about his brand which coincided with Ciara stepping into the picture.

But the person rubs me just as wrong as Rodgers or Puka for that matter, He just does it with a smile and some bling, the phoniness.

I didn't like the part where he told us all he wanted to be a Seahawk for life while simultaneously trying to force his exit through back channels. If he wanted to leave, that's fine, but be honest about it. He's Michael Scott levels of needing to be liked.

His sham charity didn't help my opinion either.

You two allowingRuss to live rent free in your head for years is wild to me lol.
Just trying g to find options for him to keep his dream of winning multiple championships alive. He never really specified where he was gonna all these big wins. Canada is his only hope. Only like 8 teams to winning it all has high probability.

It's easier to just dislike RCW if you can ignore him. Remembering the good and minimizing the bad is really hard when he tries to constantly represent himself as this holier-than-though role model. If he'd go away for 5 or 10 years the dislike would wane. The SB win won't ever wane. After a period of silence, he'd be a SB winning, team-leading baller.

He doesn't play well. He doesn't have the understanding of defenses to announce games. He won't stay out of the spotlight. So, to me, in my woefully unqualified opinion, I feel like RCW farms this dislike himself. He grows it like a crop thinking all publicity is good publicity. There are times he's simply impossible to ignore because he sells his brand constantly to anything and everything at any price overshadowing his legacy of play. Obviously, that's all fine: his choice. But it invites judgement. We know the American public has a short memory. So...that judgement is focused on his abject failure of recent years.

He's an ex-girlfriend that won't go away. He's an ex-boss that won't give a good reference. He's that long-lost family member that shows up asking for a hand-out every few years. He's the tele-marketing non-profit that calls monthly and uses 90% of your donations for expenses and overhead and not the common-good.

Personally, I'll really like RCW after he goes away. For now, every time I think of him it makes my skin crawl...ew. I don't hate him. I don't wish ill on him. I feel like a measure of dislike is justified. For me...it's skin-crawling distaste, bordering on despise.

I think he ends up in media somehow. Either in one of those pregame shows or maybe tries to do what Michael Strahan does.

Just click on link below when I posted in 2016, before his first big payday, I think I've
pretty much been proven right.
He always was late getting the play and ball off, taking way too many sacks but yet
he insinuated that he needed OL and more playmakers, this coming from a QB that
would just pull the ball and do wild scramble drills to make plays instead of running
the play as drawn.
There is no OL that can block properly when the QB is just all over the place, I give
him credit for being able to do it as long as he did because he had toughness, a strong
arm and good agility with speed.
There hasn't been a QB that could do that scramble drill like him in his prime, Lamar
was the closest but not quite as good.
However, as I said in that link, "When the legs are gone, he's done".
He was never going to be this smart QB who could read multiple defenses or play
with precise timing from the pocket, he needed shotgun just to see and try to buy
time, I've said this all before and others as well.
I don't hate him, but I do despise his fakeness and how he made mockery out of how
I envision the QB position.
He's why Kyler, Tua, Trey lance, Justin and AR among others are even in the NFL but he
Obviously did it better than them.

All that winning, but he did the winning incorrectly. I can't think of a worse thing in this world.
