KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Despite temperatures in the low 20s and a wind-chill factor in the low teens, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch made a highly unusual decision of staying on the field at halftime instead of going to the locker room with his teammates.

I believe he stayed on the field to get continuing treatment. Cold weather had his back/knee tightening. Was probably better off just staying in the cold, so his body wouldn't have to adjust again. Didn't strike me as weird. The article makes reference to the treatment as well.

Yeah I'm pretty sure hey mentioned he was getting treatment the entire halftime. Also, in that weather probably better to stay accumulated to the cold.

I wonder why Carroll didn't explain that. "He thought it would be better for him to stay out" makes it sound a little fishy. I assume he'll have a better explanation on Monday.

Yeah that sounds legit. In fact, the Packers entire team sometimes stays on the sideline during halftime.

On the Michael Silver article, according to Mike Rob, Lynch told him he had trouble/couldn't walk. You could also see the pain he was in on the broadcast.

That may be true, I just have never seen a guy stay on the sidelines at halftime, especially when it is cold as hell outside. And with all the talk about the rift between Lynch and the HC it seems there may be more to it.
