Castillo for Bellinger and Nico? Tough one.
I wouldn't love it but Castillo is probably the pitcher they would trade if they are going to trade one. The thing about Nico is he's not a power guy. IMO they should go after a slugging 2nd baseman.Castillo for Bellinger and Nico? Tough one.
The problem is they've kinda made there own bed in that situation. There's long been an opinion of players that the park sucks to hit at. Now it's double that with recent guys like Teoscar Hernandez publicly being outspoken about it. Good luck getting any free agent hitters to come to Seattle without a park overhaulHow about opening up the wallet and BUY a few position players? It is done all the time, and it is the ONLY way the Loseriners will ever go to the World Series. Face it, they are the West Coast version of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
You had me getting excited for a second.I wouldn't love it but Castillo is probably the pitcher they would trade if they are going to trade one. The thing about Nico is he's not a power guy. IMO they should go after a slugging 2nd baseman.
Bret Boone, Cano, Altuve, Mookie Betts, Semien, etc. I love the idea of having power at 2nd base. Ms would be just fine with JP's lack of power if they make up for it at 3rd and 2nd base. Then have Raley and Turner play 1st. Outfield is set with Jrod, Robles and Randy. Ms could easily fix their entire line up by trading pitching. Keep Woo, Gilbert, and Kirby. Everyone else on the table let's gooooooooo
But nothing will happen.
I agree bring the fences in….The problem is they've kinda made their own bed in that situation. There's long been an opinion of players that the park sucks to hit at. It would be a nice park if they built seats down until there is room for a 3' tall fence GREAT for the fans, fun for the hitters. Imagine outfielders jumping up and landing in the laps of fans. Awesome, and old school. The problem is they've kinda made there own bed in that situation. There's long been an opinion of players that the park sucks to hit at. I know I'm a Mariners fan when I skim over this and thought I read "Struggling" instead of slugging and didn't even question what I was readingI wouldn't love it but Castillo is probably the pitcher they would trade if they are going to trade one. If it was Hancock.. yeah, but M's are not going to part with Woo or Miller for him, he shows potential, but it doesn't warrant a #2 or #3 pitcher. Woo and Miller are not your bottom of the bull pen starters.
If true, that sucks. Casas is exactly what the M's need. Relying on your rotation again not every year you are going to have healthy 95mph+ throwers its the same story every year this franchise is scared to build a line up. Most bizarre thing in sports. I'd trade any of the starters preferably Castillo makes most sense for Casas straight up. He's cheap too it makes so much sense. ThiS DuDE at 24yrs old in a roughly 200 game sample size in the bigs has an .830OPS? B R O
The mariners will sign a few loafs of stale bread and curdled milk and will charge you steak dinner and caviar prices to watch them play crappy baseball.I'm hearing rumors about our targets being Cody Bellinger, Alec Bohm and Nico Hoerner as trade targets. I know Jerry has to work with what he's dealt but consider me uninspired.
Kyle Tucker to the Cubs. Bregman rumors are either Yanks or Tigers. Pathetic. Either of those dudes would have been huge.
There's a thread on the Ms reddit about how the Ms offense has been "Top 10" 6 times under Dipoto. What absolute stupidity over there they're looking at a few stats and ignoring everything else. They don't watch games. This fan base and organization is just sad.
On another Ms forums theres a guy saying how he wouldn't want Luis Arraez on the Ms. I truly believe this is the dumbest fan base in sports.
Well said. You didn't actually think there was any chance the M's were going to make a genuine effort to get players like Tucker and Bregman, did you? That's not how the M's roll. They wait until all the actual good players are gone and then sign or trade for whatever scraps are left.
That's the thing about the sport of a million stats. Pick the right ones and you can support pretty much any opinion you can dream up.
So you found a pretty wild opinion on the Internet and decided to attribute that to the entire fan base? Because I think you'd find very, very few M's fans that wouldn't want Arraez.
You know what else is incredibly stupid? Finding the most extreme comments you can on the Internet and generalizing an entire fan base based on those comments.
