Why is Emo pitching?
He has had plenty of chances to show something and rarely has.
I just don't understand, we have arms in the minors who I think
would do better than Emo for sure.

yeah, not advocating for Ty France. I'm just saying it's so bad that our first base situation is WORSE than Ty France. I just didn't think it could get worse.

It made all kinds of sense to replace Ty with Justin Turner. That's a clear and obvious upgrade. But it turns out that Turner was a 2 month rental and apparently they didn't want him back even though he played well in those 2 months and he wanted to come back.

So ultimately, they replaced Ty with Tellez and Solano. Ty had been struggling at the plate for, what? A year and a half? And yet somehow they managed to find a way to not just get worse at 1B, but to get way worse. I mean, good lord. How does Jerry the dipshit moron Dipoto keep finding ways to make bad situations worse? It's just unbelievable.

Also, at the time they got rid of Ty, there were several guys that were struggling considerably worse than he was, but they got rid of rid of Ty and kept guys that were even worse. Cool. Makes sense.

Anyway. Yeah, it's definitely Locklear time. Or at least it should be.

Even if Locklear continues hitting around .150 at the major league level, he's still a significant upgrade over the dumpster fire platoon we currently have at 1B (as pathetic as that is).

Credit where it's due. After a rough 1st inning, Hancock has settled down. Seems to be pretty common in many of starts this year. Rough early inning, then locking it down. He makes me very nervous, but still needs a little tip of the cap. I thought he was gonna' get quite rocked after that 1st inning.

Can Polanco play 1st? He kept getting injured at 3rd, he was moved off of 2nd. We need his bat in the lineup. DH is good for him but let's say we got JD Martinez he would make a better DH than 1B. Just spitballing

They were talking about that on 710, he wouldn't have to move around as much. Just leave Williamson at 3rd the rest of the season. Leave Moore at 2nd the rest of the way.

Jerry had an entire off season to get a decent 1B and a decent DH, and the moron couldn't even manage to do that. It really is amazing just how horrible this idiot is at off season roster construction.

And while Polanco is obviously doing well at DH so far, he wasn't brought back to play DH. He was brought back to play 3B. Jerry's plan at 1B was Tellez and Solano, and his plan at DH was Garver/Tellez/Solano. The only reason Polanco is playing DH is because he's so bad on D they just can't have him out there, but they desperately need his bat in the lineup because Garver/Tellez/Solano are so god damn bad.

Unfortunately, this is just how Julio plays the first 2-3 months of the season. This is his 4th year and it's been the same every season.
