Castillo is HORRENDOUS on the road or has your HOMER-ISM blinded you too much? He couldn't get past the fifth inning. He ISNT an ACE or anything beyond a #4 or #5 on a REAL contender. It's that simple.
Wahhhhhhhh. Stop your whining. You're clearly not an M's fan. Go get your pacifier.

Not a huge fan of pulling Miller when he's having his best outing of the season by far and only at 78 pitches, but they held on so I'm glad it worked out.

Anyone have Dmo and Polanco as our best hitters so far? Lol.

I was worried when I saw him up in the 3 hole and hitting below .200, but it looks like a little protection is helping and his avg. is on the up tick.
Yeah I think so far torpedo bat + 3 spot is working out. Only a dude from the A's has more homers than Cal in the AL right now.

Williamson has done more than Tellez or Solano already. Dude has a high leg kick but stays very firm with his swing. I would *think* Locklear or Montes gets called up if Tellez and Solana don't get it going by first week of May.
Tellez batting .088, Solano batting .087. They are a combined 5 for 57. Dumpster diving failed again, what a surprise.

Of course, Luke Raly hasn't been much better. Meanwhile, Ty France (remember him?) is batting .270 for the Twins, with an OPS of .746. Not exactly tearing it up, but much better than what we've got.

Yeah, made no sense. He was locked in. No reason to not give him another inning, imo.

Solid win. I'll take it. Taylor was shaky in his first chance back. Hope he can get that under control. Almost cost us the game.

Cal with his all or nothing swing is putting runs up at least. Williamson with his first MLB RBI, not a lot of plays at 3d, but got ate up on that one screamer from Elly. He'll come around, we hope.

First road win this year. Many more to come.
Williamson is a very very good defender, won't be an issue. Best 3B defensively in all of AAA.

Ty France was given enough time here to pull out of his slump,
he was hot garbage and had to go.
He didn't do much last year either did he?

Yep, and I'm not worried about Ty France on April 17th. Great guy, hope he does well, but it was past time to let him go.
Talk to me in July when he's batting .215

I heard Karros say that Miller was nursing some soreness. Could have been the reason they pulled him early?

That's been on the back burner for a week or so, IIRC. It's been mentioned. Not bad enough to skip a start but something to watch. There is also a long term strategy to not tax the starters early so they're strong in September for the stretch run. Miller had 3 starts where he threw for more than 90 chucks and one over 100 so far. Wouldn't be such a big deal if Taylor hadn't developed the yips in his first run back from the IL.

A little dicey at the end, but they pulled it off. Oh, and they led the entire game. ;)

Felt like a rare chill win for most of the game. Taylor is understandably rusty. On a side note, I'm not sure Munoz has ever looked better. When he's locked in, he's almost unhittable.

Don't forget, early game today. 9:40 first pitch.
LOVE morning games, and it happens to be one of my telecommute days. Winning.

Let's win our 3rd straight series (and first on the road) and I can look forward to the tantrums from a couple people who seem to hate it when the M's win :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 🍿 :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The "they won, but" crowd.............endless entertainment. This is the M's, couldn't give two sh*** how a win looks.

I like how they threw Santos to AAA, it seems like their tolerance
for keeping players that fail is lower which is good.
I have no doubt Tellez or Salano? Will be leaving soon if they can't
hit.
We can bring up Locklear and he can produce better than those two,
it might not be .300 but I doubt he hits in the .150s.

It's shocking how bad Santos has been. He has great stuff, but at some point, they had to do it. No matter how hard you throw, how good of stuff you throw out there, if you can't find the strike zone.........next.

yeah, not advocating for Ty France. I'm just saying it's so bad that our first base situation is WORSE than Ty France. I just didn't think it could get worse. I mean Luke Raley's been sucking pretty bad, too.
