And lets not forget a felony weapons charge, that would have you or I setting in jail awaiting trial!
The NFL typically waits for the legal ramifications of criminal matters to resolve before allocating any league punishment. The exact same reason that Marshawn Lynch hasn't been disciplined for his DUI (Aaron Hernandez is an obvious exception to this procedure).
Yes you are correct, but your talking about actually taking action or enforcing discipline. The question that is on my mind is why test Willson because he healed fast but not test Aldon Smith?
It reeks if the NFL has a target on our backs or they are ignoring others.
A few games back Gore looked like he got knocked out cold and VD slammed into a wall and appeared to be knocked out, yet neither were even given concussion tests. A writer (escaping me now) pointed this out.
Aldon is on his 2nd DUI and had people shot at his party because he brought out his illegal guns he is now (finally) up on charges for and only because it became blatantly obvious due to law suits about his guns and ammo. Without the pressure from the law suits somehow this goes unnoticed? He was also in a bar altercation.
Brooks smashed a beer bottle over the head of a rookie DT and the police showed up and took statements from the DT and a couple other players. The DA's office issued a warrent to have him arrested and it was mysteriously stopped by higher ups from being issued and the reason used was lack of evidence? Multiple written statements, medical records from the stitches and police reports are suddenly lack of evidence?
Crabtree was accused of rape and a quick and quiet investigation suddenly swept it right under the rug. The NFL never even looked into it.
On the other hand, Willson suffers a high ankle sprain in a game (an injury he has worked through before) and suddenly a RANDOM drug test is administered?
Sorry it just doesn't seem that random and other seem much more worthy of that randomness.
