They would probably take one of our home games away if that were the case. The NFL doesn't exactly have a great history of treating Seattle well when it comes to "50-50"/neutral things like this.
Canada last year? Was that "neutral"?

The Bills have an agreement to play one home game in Toronto every year for the next 5 years(hey're just across the lake from Buffalo).

I do not want them to ever play a game there. There is no reason they should, and a chance it would mess things up.

They have soccer there, and they seem to enjoy it. Leave football, and especially the Seahawks here.

I really don't get the whole London thing...why is the NFL so headset on playing there? $$$ or something else.

Mexico, Brazil, Canada...This is American football afterall, not Euro-ball. Maybe I am missing the boat or just not in the now.

I'd enjoy meeting the UK 12s but I sure as hell don't want the hawks to play in London.
All of MY reasons have already been stated by somebody else in this tread.

GoHawks.

Why doesn't the league just make it an away game for both teams?

Don't think the math would work out in the end on that.

I wouldn't mind it if it was an away game.

:2: Fellow 12's :)

Thanks for all your comments, some interesting views!

Realistically I can't see the Seahawks playing at Wembley for the foreseeable future due to travel issues (4,800 miles each way..) although the Whiners played at Wembley this year and it is actually quite a lot further (5,350 miles each way) from SF to London :?

Think it would be completely awesome if some of us UK 12's (and maybe some Euro 12's) made the trip to Seattle to take in a game and enjoy the experience; maybe better start saving soon :)

Go Hawks!

GREED. Plain and simple. If they can increase their fan base (NFL), then they can get more purchase of items and sell themselves. We had a line in a different post where they tried the football we know over in Europe and it failed. But, they will keep trying to increase the fan base as a moneymaker. Remember, there is only so much money in the U.S. They have to work on outside sources. Just my opinion tho.
Go HAWKS. (to the Superb owl)

From a purely selfish reason of course I'd love to see them play here.

I have had no interest in going to any of the other games here because I don't support the team.

What really bugs me is that the NFL Europe store is the last basion of anti-Seahawk bias. Out of all 32 teams, the the Hawks have the fewest items available, with 4. The highest is 70.

Hey fellow 12's :D

London will be hosting three NFL games next season - Jags vs 'Boys, Falcons vs Lions and Raiders vs Dolphins.

Seems likely there'll be at least three games in 2015 - how about a Seahawks game?! Would be awesome to see Beastmode, LOB, Dangeruss et al running out at Wembley, especially if it was against the whiners :) Would be even more awesome if lots of 12's came over to take in the game and meet up with us UK fans.

Who's In?!

Kev

In short...NO!

Sorry bud, you're sol.

If they want to do an away game, that's fine.

Taking away a home game from some of the best fans on the planet is just stupid. I guess the conspiracy poster might think that's another way for the big bad NFL to pull one over on South Alaska, haha.

We do have a handful of great 12s over there...

Start converting more fans, and you might just get your game. I'm talking at least a good thousand fans. :sarcasm_off:

This is a sore subject with me. I do not want any regular season games being played overseas, ours or any of the other 31 teams. This is nothing but the excessive greed of a handful of owners that would sell their own mothers into slavery for a buck.

Why would we want a team that already travels more than any other to have to travel to london? Dumb idea

It is not a dumb idea. It's a beautiful idea. I would love to experience that kind of historic event and get Dom drunk n a British pub.
