Less than 25 yards in each of the last 6 games and 3 or less targets. He's been invisible. And he caught the one today and immediately went down. No one was even close or touched him. Almost cost the 1st down there.

I know he's always been afraid of Contact but this is a little much. Hopefully he gracefully exits the team at the end of the season. Just doesn't look like he wants to play anymore.

He's going to free up a big chunk of change this off-season. Not seeing how he's a problem though, outside of his cap hit.

Ducking/flinching/falling when nobody was within 10 yards of him on that play

The guy is totally in his head

Making business decisions is one thing. He is on a whole 'nother level

Too bad because he was such a great Seahawk. But its time for him to hang em up

When I suggested or advocated trading Lockett 2 or was it 3 seasons ago, some 12s called me names. Lockett was ready to live after football, he has been for the last 2 seasons.

Should have traded Lockett, we might have gotten a third, if not a second at the time.

I think you under appreciate the value and contributions of Tyler last year and this year.

Tyler set "the" example and showed the way in Jaxon Smith-Njigba rapid development into a rising star. Tyler also had a big positive influence on DK's maturity.

You know this my friend. You have seen it and appreciated it. As did I. Thanks for this post. Experience is a great teacher.

I saw two different times when he was wide open, and the ball wasn't thrown to him. One time it was an easy TD. Geno has his favorites, cover Njigba and 14, there is no other receivers he can seem to find besides a RB.

Maybe Geno values YAC

Bet Tyler knows if he wants to play next year, he'll have to be OK with the vet minimum pay.

You don't trade the family dog after ten years.
That was Pete's mindset, which is why he had to go. It's a business and players know it. They are getting paid a ton of money to put their bodies on the line, it's the GM and coaches job to make the tough decisions when they must be made.

I've found in my career that whenever someone leads with "it's a business"...I start looking for a new job.

Just human nature that I prefer to be treated like a human being and not a number on a spreadsheet.
You'll often see the best in any field do the same, leaving the scared and untalented behind.

Is this the best plan for the Seahawks?
