Wow, does this mean nobody wanted to give him decent money so he went to the highest bidder.

To me he’ll always be a Seahawk but I’m happy to see him get the chance to help out the number 1 pick in the draft in his rookie season running and NFL offense
Personally I hate the whole process of free agency and that long time players (of any team) end up finishing their career on another team.

Is what it is I get it, but I don’t have to like it.

ETA

Players get cut etc etc.

Close to home, no pressure situation, can be a nice veteran presence to help coach the WR room and the offense as a whole.

Best of luck Lockett

Yeah, it's too bad he couldn't have finished his career in Seattle. Good luck to him.

id still take him for 4 mil over Jake Bobo

You can move a step up the Seahawks' WR "depth" chart and still be right.

Lockett right now, but with both hands severely broken, would be better than MVS, who is getting $4M. Lockett at $4M would be better than MVS at whatever the league-minimum salary is. Lockett for $4M is a much better deal than MVS for $4M.

MVS has only had two seasons in his career as valuable as Lockett's weak-for-him 2024, and the most recent one was in 2022. MVS's only season as valuable as Lockett's 2023 was all the way back in 2019. Lockett has had nine seasons better than MVS's second-best season and eight better than MVS's best season. Lockett is two years older, but MVS sucks, so Lockett is still way better.
