Don't forget, that is where Luke Willson was from (sort of, across the river in Canada). So.....

D line deserves some credit too. They were not exactly dominant, but played hard all game, created pressure, and came up with some big plays. That last hit on Rodgers had him looking none too happy and may have been a factor in the pick.

Here's what is interesting IMHO...

The common theme before the game (especially on .net) was that knowing the playoffs were out of reach would hamper the Lions motivation and decrease their odds of winning.

Personally, I think knowing their fate was actually a BENEFIT for the Seahawks. Why? The play calling. I look at some of the aggressive play calls in the fourth quarter and feel very confident that had a playoff spot been on the line, they may have been a bit more conservative. Going for it on 4th and 2. That screen/lateral play in the 4th. Those were big balls calls right there and screamed "We don't give a sh!t, we have nothing to lose so take this"!

Perhaps the play calling and maybe even the outcome would have unfolded differently had both games been played simultaneously like most of us wanted.

The Lions players play HARD for MCDC. That was fun to watch. I haven't seen the Seahawks play that hard as a team since week 1.

The Lions did great. Way better than I thought they would & didn't really notice any "business decisions" being made that cost them but I'm sure there were some. There are some each & every game of each & every week.

That being said the Packers shot themselves in the foot with all the drops throughout the game. This was something that was very prevalent earlier in the season costing them games then disappeared when they won the 4 in a row but reared it's ugly head again at the worst possible time IMO.

Dan Campbell seems to have grown a lot as a head coach this season. Respect.
They started off 1-6 it would have been so easy to mail it in at that point.
I don't know how he pulled it off but that was some great coaching job he did.

He’s like Carroll or Shanahan in instilling a winning attitude culture
