Boy, the title of this thread is a lot more appropriate than I originally suspected. That truly was media idiot hate.

And the critics here are correct -- he can't write worth a crap, and his jokes aren't funny. At all.

wonder if he'd rather root for a seahawks team that is 3-13 but the team was so humble. Like a team full of Barry Sanders.

That, is one unhappy man looking for somewhere to focus his misery. Of course he's perpetually prone, he's lazy.

saying the whole team is look at me showboaters is a generalization. Wilson isn't, Lynch isn't, Kearse isn't, Baldwin isn't, Tate is.
On defense Bennett and Mebane have their dances but I wouldn't call it showboating as that's common. It isn't something I notice with the linebackers.
Chancellor no.
It might just be me but the only ones who fall in to that category from what I see are Earl, Sherman, and Tate.

Of course he hates the Seahawks.

They've put a quick end to every Redskin postseason for the last decade. 3 playoff beatdowns. That HAS to suck.

This rivals the hatred spewed over at the Webzone, and that's saying quite a bit. This is a national reporter writing this garbage? Kinda sad actually. While i couldn't give two poops what this guy thinks i do find it extremely unprofessional... Then again what do you expect from a deadskins fan..

Funny I was going to post that article. What a douche. I guess he has not been counting how many drug suspension happen in his own back yard. You wonder what drives someone to write this kind of trash.

Anyway he can watch from home as the Hawks beat their chest to the SB.

Norman Chad is still alive? I thought he faded away into irrelevance years ago.

Pete Carroll's community outreach is something the NFL should wish from all its coaches. Players want to play for him and want to come to his team. I don't know or care about the business at USC. I'm not a college football follower so much. Everybody seems to want his assistant coaches and castoff players. Allen, Schneider, Bevell, Quinn and Cable like working with him quite a bit as far as I can tell. The only player I ever read about disparaging him in recent years was Matt Flynn. I'd say the move to play Wilson over him was one of the best decisions in recent NFL history. It seems awfully geeky to talk about some "choking" gesture from a game 20 years ago. Whatever man.

Chad is really funny when doing poker, but this is a pretty lame attempt at quasi-humor. Especially considering most of what he's saying is wrong.

1. Carroll's teams at USC did not act the asses after victories. All they'd do is run over, salute the band and leave the field.
2. Yes, SOME of the Hawks players celebrate after 1st downs and big defensive plays. But that's EVERY team.
3. Ever see Doug Baldwin, Marshawn and Russell after TD's? Flip ball to ref, that's it.

BUT, I do agree with the strutting around a little too much, and I definitely agree with the choke nonsense during that Jets vs. Dolphins game. But that was 30 years ago, and I bet even Pete would say he was a dumb ass for doing that.

Not his finest hour. There was at least one factual error, but more than that, if you are going to hate the Seahawks, it shouldn't be because of Carroll. Carroll was a victim in the Reggie Bush saga, I never understood why people act as if he was in any way culpable there and Bush's actions cost Carroll a hard earned National Championship. I guess we should trash Don James too because of Billy Joe Hobert.

But more than that, there might not be a coach in the country who has done more for his urban area community as Pete Carroll has. Carroll may be a bit of a huckster and I have little doubt he can be a dick when you cross him, but dude's a caring guy, a class act and a great human being. I have little doubt that Carroll is a nicer guy than Bill Walsh, and you don't see people lining up around the corner to bash him.

Chad's writing style just makes him sound like an idiot. His thought process leads me to the same conclusion.

Well, that's society for you Kearly. People avidly follow celebrities' every move, making every trainwreck and mistake they make more enjoyable. We love to build people up instantly to fame in this country, but then the goal is to see them fall. Pete was at the top at USC. The fall was eagerly anticipated.

As for the tool that wrote that article....claiming that we have a PED coordinator, and that our 12th man actually is a guy that distributes PED's is actually libel. The Seahawks should sue that guy, honestly. Then again, Washington fans have a reason to hate us: in the past decade or so, every time they've managed to make the playoffs, they end up against us and we knock them out. I'd hate us too.....but b*tching about our players celebrating is hypocritical. Every player in the NFL celebrates good plays. Good guys like Brady and Brees pump their fists and celebrate TD's. It's not our fault his team is so bad no one celebrated this year.

Or what about Russell Wilson? Does he ever spike the ball after a TD? Kiss his tattoo? Does Russell even have a tattoo? How can we be such a bad ass team when our leader donates one day a week to Children's Hospital?

Or what about our head coach? Believe me, I have my differences with some of the things Pete says and does, but he's not a trash talker ala Jim Harbaugh or Rex Ryan. PC is a class act, and hasn't said anything to mock other coaches or players.

This is what happens when your favorite NFL team is the most talented and physical team in the league. The Hawks are currently the bullies of the league, which makes them a target. After years of rooting for Seahawk teams the rest of the NFL thought of as irrelevant (if they thought of them at all), I'm still getting used to the notion of supporting a team that most closely resembles the Raider teams (who I hated) from the late 70s and early 80s.

I'll just have to get use to (and maybe even enjoy) the national pundits hating on the Hawks. It beats being ignored.

I am not going to give him the honor by even clicking on that link. Same old mindless PC bashing as usual.

He's just butt-hurt that the Washington Racial-Slurs haven't won a single meaningful game since the invention of the salary cap.

Losers always hate winners. And they always have a reason. So why care?

Pete apologized for the choke sign thing immediately after that game.

Don't read the article. It just give the idiot more hits on their website.

This weekend only: Norman Chad will be reprising Henny Youngman's greatest hits at your local Sizzler. Try the pork loin, or they'll both starve.
