Grubb was more of a necessity hire as all the best seasoned OCs were gone.
I think Grubb was both a 'it's closing time' pick and also a swing for the fences type of choice.

I don't even begrudge them taking their shot, especially given that. If you don't really have that many options, why not go for one that has the potential for a huge upside?

It's just unfortunate that Grubb's talents didn't really translate to the NFL level. Sure, in retrospect, if we had just maintained a Shane Waldron-esque floor, we're probably a playoff team that wins our division, but hindsight is always 20/20.

They gave it a shot, it didn't work out. Kubiak will change things up, really looking forward to seeing what he does with Geno, DK and most importantly...........the O Line and Running game.

If he can make Geno better, and they're gonna' pound the rock more? Use DK correctly? Hell yeah.

I would ******* love if we had a FB. Love it.

Did I mention that I would LOVE it?!
Real Football??? YES!!! A FB can do things a TE cannot do, but find the right player and the FB can play both.

Some guys in the draft that could play both:

Oronde Gadsden II Syracuse

Hayden Large Iowa

Gee Scott Jr. Ohio State
