Kam didn't report, everyone else did, guess its hold-out time.......................awesome.................

Man this offseason has stunk.

This kind of statement is the testament of how good we have it right now. If contract extension trepidation makes your offseason stink, that is better than most other teams in the league.

We haven't lost major parts of the machine, nay, we've kept them close for the next few seasons.

Re calibrate your expectations and what is truly stinky.

?

EDIT: Seems like he lied :(

This was a joke. If you look at the link, it's just a picture of a white guy in a Kam jersey.

Kam should fire his agent if this was his idea. The hawks are going to do anything because they don't have to.

And added a game changer on offense in the form of the best receiving TE in the NFL not named Gronk.

And drafted the most electric kick returner in the draft who also happened to put up HUGE numbers as a WR.

And locked up our franchise QB for 4 more years.

I can't even begin to imagine what it would take for the Seahawks to have a good off season in Blitzers opinion.

Anyone else think the Hawks could send a message by giving Bennett some type of bonus? Bennett actually showed up to camp despite the same holdout threat. If they were to give Bennett some of what he's asking for, it would send the message that "if you actually show up, maybe we can talk." Might get Kam back in the building whether you give him anything or not.

How about Kam's $30,000/day fine goes directly into Bennett's checking account?

Would that help?

Actually, BuZzB is from the 49erswebzone forums. Not sure why he's over here pretending to be a seahawks fan. Oh well.

I can confirm that and I have no idea what he's talking about over there either.

At least he/she/it is consistent.

If you mean consistently unintelligible, then you are correct.

Hey, we could use some comedic relief around here. I have no problems with cheap entertainment.

Plenty of room to jump on the bus here....it's what happens when you win Super Bowls. How many people were actually Patriots fans before they started winning ?

When's the last time a player actually had to pay their fines?

Seems like just a hollow threat now, which is why they hold out and pout. Because they know when everything's resolved the fine will be waived. Silly.

I heard yesterday that Kam is the only player in the league holding out for money right now.
I hope the Seahawks stay strong and he comes to his senses. Kam has no leverage, what is he going to do, sit out the season and give up his 8 million dollars?

Here's some evil speculation. Kam's hurt more than we know. He got through the Super Bowl and then didn't have off season surgery. He knows this will be his last season and that he may not even make it through the whole year and he wants more guaranteed money.

This is a ludicrous idea, but him holding out, without any leverage, just doesn't make sense/

Who does Kam think they should cut in order for him to get more money?

How would he feel if they gave him a raise then cut Mebane to pay for it? Not going to happen, but there is no money, so who would GM Chancellor cut?

And has he forgotten about the up front money they gave him that will count against the cap?

Having said that, I could see guaranteeing some of his money for next year, but he's one of the highest paid SS already, if not the highest.

Honestly can someone name me the last player that held out a significant amount of camp then didn't have a crap season riddled with injury?

Im sure theres an example since Walter Jones....but I can't think of it.... and all due respect to Kam, Walter Jones was not from this planet and cannot be compared to mere mortals. even as bad ass as kam is.....

Maybe he took some performance enhancers to get back into shape following surgery and he knows he isn't clean yet, and will report once he is. Was told this by a friend that works in the strength & cond world. Said this used to be fairly common practice around the NFL.
