K9's "I wasn't appreciated" statement was mostly based on what he read on .NET. All GM, HC, and players respect .NET as the authority on all things Seahawks. Yes, they all read .net for experts' opinion.

K9 knew he lost the hearts and souls of 12s after a few minutes on .NET.
Schneider knew K9 was expendable, again, after a few minutes on .NET.

Ken...your best ability is availability...first 3 years?
Dude wasn't nearly as injury prone as people made him out to be. He missed around 10 games in 4 years. That's not exactly uncommon for a RB. People like to make stuff up that doesn't actually exist, to fit some kind of narrative.
Like Sam can't win a big game, playoff choker...........who played in ONE playoff game.
Speaking of playoffs, Ken was a beast in the playoffs and helped us win a SB.
I hope he kills it in KC, and they go 4-13. Because......KC :)

I think K9's biggest - and somewhat legitimate - complaint was about being taken out in the red zone and letting Charbs get the TDs. The coaches decided that was best for the team, but I'm sure K9 was bugged by that.

As for the number of carries, he signed with a team that is basically 60/40 pass/run, so he may not be getting as many chances as he thinks he will. 🤷‍♂️

Legitimate complaint possibly but….

K9 isn’t the crash through the line power back type guy.

TDs are what’s important NOT who gets them.

K9 got a Super Bowl ring as part of a TEAM.

POSSIBLY NOT a legitimate complaint.
Regardless of what formula was used it worked.
I’m not convinced that anyone on the team has a legitimate complaint.
*About last season

YMMV

One thing when I've been watching highlights of this season and our playoff run on Walker rushes is seeing those plays where I think to myself "that was special" and we aren't going to get that from the new guy. One play in particular was the first TD in the NFCCG. It's hard to find that ability to bounce that one outside when the initial hole was not there. That was all KW. I am thinking some of the plays he bounced outside in the Super Bowl were the same thing. I can still picture the game I attended his rookie year vs the Chargers in LA where he put the game away with a 70 or so yard untouched TD run.

Mind you I don't know enough to notice the negative plays....where he could have had a 4-5 yard gain but bounced it and took a 1 yard loss etc.

IMO time missed with injury, just from memory I seem to recall games where partway through the game we'd get the sideline report he was doubtful to return our out rest of the game. Those wouldn't show up on his games missed stat line.

Boo Hoo!!!

I wasn't appreciated and given a big bag by Seattle. Too bad K-9 or perhaps K-8/14 (due to his lack of consistent availability) but there were pretty obvious reasons involving running style and availability that factored into the team decision. Besides that you need to be consistently special to deserve a big 2nd contract as a RB. JS didn't think value vs. spend was worth it for this player, and as many have said RBs tend to have shorter careers and tend to be consistently available. KC disagreed needed a proven RB and was willing to pay Franchise money for the player. I'm happy for Walker but not sad to see him gone for the price KC paid.

I'm grateful for what Walker delivered for the team during a part of the year after Chris was hurt, but honestly thought at times I wanted to see him move on when his deal was up.

I'm not worried about it. People and players are emotional. The passion is what makes them so good, and so dedicated. Ken was very attached to the team that drafted him, and gave him the opportunity to become a star in the NFL. He experienced the highest of the highs in the NFL, and despite the fact that JS runs a tight ship when it comes to contracts, K9 was disappointed to not have the contract matched so that he could stay in Seattle.

The passion in such an emotionally powerful game can lead to an unreasonable disappointment. It's not that Ken doesn't appreciate everything that Seattle and Seahawks fans did for him, it's just that his understandably strong feelings come to the forefront when he starts talking about his career here.

He's a good dude, with a great father, and while some Seahawks fans are understandably disappointed that Kenneth Walker didn't toe the line when talking about his former team, we need to realize that his emotions and dedication are as powerful as ours. Give him a little leeway and recognize the love he also has for our/his team.

Love Kay Adams. "You have the 2nd highest 10+ yard runs in the NFL" (Behind Achane. Looking at the leading explosive backs, 3 of them helped their teams in the playoffs/Superbowl)

"You've done a on of damage when the QB is under center, and they use Shotgun a lot in KC, what do I need to know about that?"

K9 just needs to take the wins lol. The dude got a ring and Super Bowl MVP off of a playoff run where he was a standout player AND he's getting a massive contract that can have him set for life. Why is he complaining about anything after having one of the best years of his life?

I believe that Walker didn't really like splitting carries, but honestly, not wanting to split to keep you fresh is being short sighted.
There's a reason the Seahawks Defense rotates players, and has proven to be a winning formula.

I get it from a player's point of view financially re splitting carries. Yes it keeps them fresh but it reduces their numbers which does not help their leverage come contract time.....which it was in his case. The other option for a team I guess is to run the crap out of a guy in his contract year and then let him walk after he potentially wears down (Demarco Murray was never the same after his big year in Dallas).

The Seattle situation worked out for both parties. Obviously the team won the Super Bowl. And for Walker, being fresh and having his biggest games on the biggest spotlight added to his pay day. In a different scenario where the Hawks don't have the playoff success, he doesn't get anywhere near what he got as an FA
