I'm kind of torn. I know a lot of guys want us to sign a top FA hitter/infielder, but I kinda want to see the young guys develop.

TBH I don't really want to bring Geno back. Sorry, but the all or nothing approach bothers me. Too many outs tied into those 30+ homers per year.

This is how i feel about both subjects too. I like the young kids we have and we need to save them for after the lockout. I'm okay with having a down year this year to let the kids develop. There most likely wont be baseball in 2027, If the the Mariners wanted to go win in all this year they would have spent the money already. I have to remember what Jerry said a few years ago, They are a draft, Develop and Trade team.

Yeah I'm with you on Geno, He's a solid Clubhouse guy but after watching him come over he just sucked. He just looked like he didn't want to be there at all.

I've been big on the developing and keeping the top talent, to grow
and win together from the first year in the minors to the show.
We can't keep up with the big market teams, it's been obvious for
many years so we have to do it differently, it's not popular but it works.

Draft, develop, grow and resign your own stars, a player here and there
like Naylor who fits the team culture and a hole is allowed of course.
Another who comes to mind is Victor Robles, both came in different ways
and I'm very happy to have both.

Majority of this team is going to be homegrown talent with a few outside
of that sprinkled in that fit.
I love it and excited to see it all coming together.
