This is how i feel about both subjects too. I like the young kids we have and we need to save them for after the lockout. I'm okay with having a down year this year to let the kids develop. There most likely wont be baseball in 2027, If the the Mariners wanted to go win in all this year they would have spent the money already. I have to remember what Jerry said a few years ago, They are a draft, Develop and Trade team.I'm kind of torn. I know a lot of guys want us to sign a top FA hitter/infielder, but I kinda want to see the young guys develop.
TBH I don't really want to bring Geno back. Sorry, but the all or nothing approach bothers me. Too many outs tied into those 30+ homers per year.
