I just read that the NFL is honoring the 2025 MVP (Stafford) and offensive (JSN) and defensive Players of the Year as well as Rookie of the Year with a new NFL Shield patch starting for the 2025-2026 winners. Has anyone seen a shirt or jersey with them. I've been looking and no luck.
Here is a portion of the article I found that talks about it.

"The NFL introduced a gold shield patch in 2025 for major award winners, including MVP, Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year, and top rookies."
Most of the article is about Stafford.
Would love to have one when they drop.

EDIT 2: Corrected years again. To many gin & tonics...
EDIT: Thanks sutz fixed typo, added link:

Well, you should still include the link for any quoted article. Lends credibility.

Oh, and you may want to fix that typo in the first sentence. Was wondering about why they would issue an award/patch from 2005. ;)

Because that was the calender year that The Bus finally got his Superbowl ring and the NFL wanted to celebrate. Did you know he was from Detroit?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I’ve been saying it for years. I always thought it would be cool for the NFL to acknowledge and honor players and teams with a patch accordingly, i.e. NFL MVP or Super Bowl Champions get to wear a special patch the following season to honor their achievement.

Why not? It’s a special and simple aesthetic way to pay tribute to their achievement from the year before. Could also serve as an added incentive with a little nod to bragging rights.

A simple gold or silver monochrome patch (not too intrusive, can easily work with any uniform color) on the upper left or right chest would be fantastic.

Make it so!

So. Hate me. Congrats to these guys. Just hate the fact. Jsn thinks he needs to the highest paid. Glory to god and all that nonsense.

I want him to stay. But he talks a lot like Russ did. “We need to get paid”. Honestly. It i hear that again I’ll vomit.

Hell we had Montana here say bobo “deserves” to get paid with his 36 receptions.

The general media and fan vibe is why these entertainers get paid so much after two good seasons. It’s. Nuts

Yes let’s pay them more and more. So we can pay more to wwatch them.

But my bad. Their “costs” increase too

What is the best WR supposed to say, I want to be the 8th highest paid WR? Who cares who was the best WR 3 years ago, it's all about right now.

He is a class act on and off the field, he does his job better than anyone else, yes pay him the most!

Someone will always be at the top of the heap money-wise at every position group.

I'm just happy that we have at least one in JSN... and several who will be close.

The NFL pays talent... and we now have a very talented roster.

Also wrong thread if you’re bitching about JSN and him getting paid. This has nothing to do with him getting his bag. It’s for his accomplishments this yr.

It’s my understanding that this is what it will look like.

Nothing different except the gold color.

Nice touch IMO
