Singlehandedly???? C'mon, Aros. Pete Carroll and Marshawn Lynch had nothing to do with it?

I think it's apples and oranges BFS, and I agree with Aros' sentiments that Wilson has singularly brought a new level of confidence that I believe wouldn't be near the same without him. Certainly there are other parts to the whole, but Russell is just on a whole-other cosmic level than anyone else.

Hey everybody,,,,,,,he wasn't talking like this on monday night now long ago. Hawkstorian, Hawkfan80 & Jiggy will all back me up. lol

In fact he said and I quote,,,,"lets suit up Harvin and get him in the game".

How ya like them apples boss?

To be fair, at least a little, I didn't feel like this in 2010 or 2011. There's a sense of calm about the outcome that's new territory.

Well, fellas, we're just gonna see things differently, then.

Apples and oranges aside, since (you didn't elaborate on that distinction):

In my mind, Pete Carroll's arrival changed the culture of our football team and the culture of our organization and in so doing is probably the man most responsible, in a blueprint sense, this side of Paul Allen for our experience as Seahawks fans.

Secondly, Marshawn shocked the sporting world with that never say die run against the Saints. As an 'out of towner' I can assert that that game put the Seahawks in a different light to the sporting world at large than we had been in all season and set a tone for this franchise. Not so soft.

Lastly, I am certainly not ranking nor rating either contribution above Wilson's. I don't really think that way, which is why I bristled at "single-handedly" which is all I am ultimately responding to.

But, again, we are free to see things differently.

Having a lot of fun this season.

My way of being a fan(atic) is to react disproportionately, positively or negatively, on gameday forums :)

I'm having so much fun bitching (and cheering!) on gamedays because it all means so MUCH this season. This chase for HFA makes all of football so much fun because every game in the NFC means *something*. If the team really sucked, I might logon to gameday for a little while while it was close, but when you get your ass kicked every week and have no shot of coming back, you're more likely to turn the damn thing off than you are to keep your intensity up all game long.

On the other hand, blood pressure. Good GOD.

The fact that we are a better team than in 2010 or 2011 might have something to do with that, as well. :th2thumbs: To be a little bit more fair.

Petes important. No doubt.

But until we got Russell we just wernt a serious contender nor were we even relevant.

QBs make or break the head coach, it's just the NFL. For all the good Pete and JS did with the rest of the team, making them just awesome, without Russell we are just the Texans. Perennially in the mix, perennially feared by no one in the post season.

Which makes them so badass for striking gold with a 3rd round pick.

Love the sentiment as this is a game after all. I'm never certain they will win, but always think they can. Having a great time watching the Hawks and celebrating what they have done well and also enjoying nitpicking. I think some here take the criticism to hard. Discussing the team is part of the fun.

Go Hawks
