JS was just talking about the process of being at Green Bay during the Wolfe years and how they built year by year and how frustrating that was.

Currently talking about drafting Russell Wilson and the number of calls Schneider made to Bielema to ensure Wilson wasn't going before the 3rd round.

Amani Toomer paid the ultimate compliment to Schneider yesterday on Sirius. He said if he was a GM, he would just follow John Schneider around at the senior bowl and the combine so he knows who to draft.

Maybe Mel Kiper should take this advice... :th2thumbs:

They asked him about SB aspirations for next year. He said "I'll let you guys talk about that but I did think about it in the 2nd half of last week's game, I'm not gonna lie" (paraphrased). Damn I wish we were talkin about an NFCCG matchup this week.

Schneider's too smart to tip his hand like that. He follows around the guys he knows are turds to throw everyone off.

I think its very important when Shneider said he has no intentions in getting rid of Flynn and wants to keep him.

He uses the phrase "I'm not going to lie" a lot in his interviews. Usually, when someone uses this phrase it means that they are about to tell a half-truth. I'm not blaming him for it (it's part of the GM's job to tell half-truths), I just think it's amusing how often he uses it.

He said on Sirius that only if they were blown away by an offer (I'm paraphrasing) meaning likely a first or second or no trade. In other words it's very likely Matt is our backup next season.

There's a lot of places in this country where "I'm not going to lie" is just a preamble for an important or insightful statement. The way he uses it, I'm certain there's no deception practice in play. It does him absolutely no good to be disingenuous.

I think if you got the right offer, you'd trade anybody on our team. Teams know not to call for RW3, BeastMode, Okung, Sherman, Wagner, Thomas, Ryan, Unger... they are probably pretty untouchable. However, I'd say just about anyone else could be had for a combination of picks or more, even those who we may consider elite. Maybe even some guys on my list are tradeable under the right circumstances...

I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw "RW3" I was thinking, why is nsport using the Skins QB as an example of a player teams are calling about? :stirthepot:

I think Flynn is a solid backup and a good option to have on the team.

With that said, I think Schneider will be open to something that isn't quite a mega deal for Flynn, but only if he feels he can get a replacement that will fit the scheme we are currently running with our offense. Some of this may well be determined by whether or not Bevell remains our OC or if he's hired away.

One thing is for sure, John seems the type to keep an open mind as to what's best for the franchise. We know he likes Flynn, but if he can swing a deal that gives us the opportunity to get stronger in another position while still finding a way to keep us solid in the backup qb position he'll do it. The big question is whether or not this is possible.

Because Mel Kiper does follow Schneider around, and those "TURDS" as you call them, are EXACTLY who Mel Kiper targets as the best.
John steps around the corners where Melvin can't see him and laughs so hard that he can barely catch his breath. :16:

Schneider will never be successful in the NFL. He's too short.

I remember seeing JS on the sideline at one of the training camp days and I thought:

"There's no way a guy with that height; even with his elite skill set, can be successful in the NFL at his position."

:sarcasm_off:

I think he'd be an awesome guy to have a beer with and just watch sports (not necessarily just football). Can we extend his contract...like a 10 year deal?
