Greatest Of All Time!

We've been pretty lucky, we had a guy who year in and year out, didn't have to worry about the left side of the line because he was manning it! I felt kinda bad for Russell Okung when he got drafted here, those were some huge shoes to fill, and he's done a very very good job of being the heir apparent.

I miss the big guy and got emotional when he retired. I think it's awesome that his kids made him move to Seattle though And he's glad to be there so that he can be a fan. If only it were South Alaska, I could make it to a game.

Does anybody know how close the statue of Walt at SEA-TAC is to actual size?

Walter Jones is still easily my all-time favorite Hawk. When it's all said and done, I expect Wilson to join him in that rarified air.

I just got into a conversation this week at my son's Spring Football practices and mentioned Walter Jones as perhaps the greatest LT to ever play the game. A Vikings fan hadn't ever heard of him and just thought I was being a homer. I realize Anthony Munoz, Bruce Matthews, etc. are all in the conversation (and that Munoz is generally given that designation.) Any list that doesn't mention Walter Jones perhaps isn't credible. Since he's on that list... he sure deserves to be in the conversation as possibly the greatest ever. So, if you can believe it, I was actually having to inform others about Walter Jones and state a case for him.

Though it's somewhat arbitrary... (and most all lists of top all-time Tackles and even simply lineman state Munoz as the best ever), anyone think Walter Jones get more mention in the Munoz stratosphere once he is a a first-year ballot HOF inductee?
