Funny how I just posted his QBR and niner fans start making excuses. Don't shoot the messenger. LOL
The screen pass was behind (still should have been caught, of course, and definitely shouldn't have been knocked four feet into the air). The other INT was just a phenomenal defensive breakup, which knocked the ball into the air, as far as I can tell without rewatching yet. The snap that hit James may have been Jimmy G's fault (if he screwed up the cadence), or it may have been the center's or James' fault.Nc49erfan":3fwtorwh said:None of the turnovers were Jimmy’s fault he may have had his best games as a niner today.

It's only funny if you didn't post his quarterback rating to make the insinuation that he played poorly, which you obviously did.
People are responding because they watched the game (which you obviously didn't -- the Hawks were playing at the same time), and from actually watching the game more than a few local reporters and a ton of fans believe it's the best game he's ever played in the NFL.
Even your trolling homeboy Grant Cohn (who LOVES to trash Garoppolo) gave him an "A" grade on the game and wrote that this game should "put the league on notice" about him.
So, the discontinuity between what you were insinuating and what actually happened is what people are finding funny.
FWIW, personally, I thought this was one of his *better* games, not his best game. There were a few passes (including the TD pass -- sorry fellow 9ers fans!!!) I don't think I love as much as most people.
This 49er team is real. And hungry last year that was a loss and I believe so would the game against Tampa. The league should be on noticeMarvin49":13nu2efh said:Popeyejones":13nu2efh said:TAB420":13nu2efh said:Funny how I just posted his QBR and niner fans start making excuses. Don't shoot the messenger. This, This, 1000 times this.
Anyone who looks at the stat line to make the judgement or just posts the QBR CLEARLY didn't watch the game.
Probably his best game ever.
The Niners turned the ball over FIVE TIMES....and WON. Jimmy was under pressure all freakin day and was getting hit left and right.
First pick was a bobble by the RB on a screen. Hit the guy in the hands and chest before he popped it into the air to be picked. The second was under heavy pressure and was a bit in front of Pettis, but Pettis got a hand on it and then...yup....popped it into the air.
On another play the center didn't get the ball all the way into his hands and they fumbled the snap...inside the Steelers 5.
Honestly, the 49ers DOMINATED the Steelers and could have won by 3 TDs if not for butterfingers particularly by RBs. They lost the ball THREE TIMES inside the Pittsburg 15.
Instead Jimmy just drove down the field over and over and never got discouraged and they finally started punching them in in the secnd half.
Odd stat for you tho....the 49ers have had ONE three and out ALL SEASON.

Wilsons stats looked great yesterday, yet still lost. Watched the highlights, honestly looked to me like refs saved the Hawks from a double digit loss on last drive.

True. But the threads about QB performance, not team victories.

Whatever makes you feel better about your loss yesterday. Your teams QB has good stats but team still loses, so you decide to down play 49er win, got it.

It's not about making me feel better puddin. Go back and re-read the OP that I started, It's about Jimmy and his struggles in practice, not either team as a whole. So actually it's you trying to make yourself feel better by focusing on the team and not Jimmy's numbers.

Right....but you didn't do anything but post his QBR and it was all us sensitive Niner fans who reacted.
BS.
You hit the target you were aiming for which was why you didn't post the QBR from last week until you had a low QBR to post with it. You think we don't know what yer doin? Please.
Post is about Jimmys performance, and it was outstanding. You can quote a number all you want. I'll post these....

TAB420":2jv9ak3l said:You just can't let it go, can you? It was about Jimmy having a horrible practice. Butthurt niner fans got their feelers hurt and turn it into a triggered bitch fest that ended with you guys gargling on Jimmy's sack. What's next? A debate on how much better Kaep is than Wilson? Oh wait, we already had that discussion. If you want to hold on to your one game better than us theory, knock yourself out. Or, we could just compare our QB1's against each other head-to-head. Let's start with SB wins...nope can't do that. Let's start with SB appearances... nope, again. Playoff wins, playoff appearances, Division wins, a winning season, maybe we just start with a full season as a starter. Nope, no help their either. Tell me again about your QB who walks on water. You know I'm just giving you a hard time because I have been having this debate for years with Niner fans. Jimmy could end up being a great QB. But util then, relax.
