He was a football guy, old school and a bit eccentric, did not like his dad for moving the Colts, but Jim worked his way up to know the whole operation, was he outspoken and inflexible, yes, but like others that had success it worked for him. Lived in the fast land, sometimes passing on the shoulder or in-between cars, was a character when he was younger. RIP, you were a different guy, but you had a style that was all your own.

I'm trying to understand this..
He loved his team and Indianapolis, sure he was rebel in ways
but he didn't hide it.
I liked him a lot better than his father, I think people mix the two.

I'm saying that people love to judge how someone passed, or what they think they know about someone. But none of us truly know someone's demons. What is there to understand? Addiction or mental health stuff sucks.

I always noticed whenever I saw him on TV, he looked like someone who had struggled with addiction. The glossy, red eyes, weathered skin...None of that matters. What matters is how he impacted those in his life. Family, friends...Sounds like he was a giving Soul. It's so easy to judge another. We're all in this together. Humans trying to do the best we can.
