For the league minimum, sure. Although after reading his report I do question his commitment to the game, so I don't know how he would fit our mantra of toughness.
Obviously he won't be signed to league minimum. This would be a good signing for us. We need a guard and he is a good athlete capable of fitting what we run.

Jenkins at 3 yr/$8m per would provide an immediate upgrade at the G position. Yes, he has durability concerns and that will be reflected in a contract discount. But when he's on the field, he's an above avg starter and brings some nastyness we haven't seen in a while. Upper tier run blocker (we need desperately) and avg/slightly above in the passing game.

Still draft 1-2 OL for depth and future. Bradford goes away (along with his penaltys) and the rooks battle with the 2nd year players to stay on the roster.

The potential for a decent starting O-Line would be far superior than last year. I'd be satisfied.

A deal with lots of incentives would be a plus. Games played, snaps, etc. He's a good player and still young.

Jenkins, drafted in the 2nd round saw his first NFL playing time for the Bears when Jason Peters suffered an injury and he filled in at LT.
During the 2022 preseason, the Bears switched Jenkins from OT to RG. In 23' he moved to LG and was the Bears most improved player that year.
Don't really know how good he is right now but he seems like an improving player. Has a bit of an injury history and feels a little like a depth signing with high potential to start with upside.
This might be a solid option...?

If we could somehow sign both Kupp and Jenkins, I think we would be ready to build a draft board.

Yeah the Bears moved him around quite a bit. I think he’s a plus starter at LG when healthy. I would still draft 2 O-linemen. I think we’ll take a OT in rounds 1-2 (probably 2) that we’ll move inside to G to compete for that LG spot

Yes if we don’t sign him it’ll be akin to Frodo handing the one ring over to the wraiths and Sauron. The very Earth will be consumed by a black hole and space and time will cease to exist.

Lol, yeah. A small number of people venting their frustration over the ongoing state of the OL and yet another missed opportunity to possibly upgrade that OL is pretty much like acting like it's the end of everything in existence.

Fortunately, we have those of you that will help diffuse the situation by ridiculing and antagonizing those people over being frustrated that our OL has sucked since Obama was still in office. Because that always helps.
