Only Drew Bledsoe (70) and Vinny Testaverde (69) ever attempted more in an NFL game. George Blanda is the only other QB to attempt at least 68 in a game besides those already mentioned.

I was happy when the Rams extended Goff because I don't think he is anything more than a slightly better version of Kirk Cousins. With that said, all 4 of his turnovers in last weeks game were due to his offensive line. Seriously, I don't know if this is a long term concern for the Rams or what, but their offensive line was Tom Cable bad against the Bucs.

That's not being fair to Goff.

He's certainly more than just slightly better than Cousins. Cousins would have won some playoff games if that were the case.

Goff is a good thrower of the ball and can make the reads. Just don't know if he's at that level yet where he can do it all or can handle tremendous adversity.

McVay going for the quick results.......hopefully he didn't stunt his QB's development.

I don't agree. Goff's QB rating in the playoffs is 73. He has 2 TD passes and 4 turnovers in 4 games.

2 of Cousins three best season are with Mcvay as his OC, and his stats are nearly identical to Goff's last two seasons. If you put Cousins on last years Rams, I don't think much changes.

We've seen less "bad" games from Goff than Cousins, and also I would say there's a bit of a bias to Goff having a better attitude than Cousins (hard to dispute this one from my DC sources).

Goff has made it to a Super Bowl and in this modern age unless the defense completely carried you like Denver in 2015, you have to give a QB credit for getting there. This isn't 1985 or even 2006 when the Bears carried their QBs to the Super Bowl singlehandedly.

Stats aside, I don't see how Goff didn't at least do as much as Wilson did in 2013 or 2014. Can Cousins even win a playoff game is the real question at hand, on any team?

So now I think the "slightly better" thing should be more clear now.

Trent Dilfer has made it to a Super Bowl and in this modern age unless the defense completely carried you like Baltimore in 2015, you have to give a QB credit for getting there.
