I love that his primary deficiencies seem so coachable. His accuracy, timing, and form will be worked on meticulously over the next 12-24 months without any undue pressure.

The stuff he has in spades cannot be coached.

You have to take risks in this league if you want to bust out of the mediocrity bubble. We had 11 picks this year so now was the perfect time to take a shot on a young man with so much potential.

I’ll be over the moon if he works out eventually and not that disappointed if he doesn’t.

And I get that most players are media savvy to say the right things, etc...but he genuinely seems cognizant of his weaknesses and seems enthusiastic about working on them.

Not a conspiracy theorist but it was obvious that the majority of draft pundits had artificially buoyed S. Sanders' to keep him in that #2 QB spot.
Ward#1, Sanders#2 was parroted by most mocks for months before the draft.
It wasn't until right before the draft that Dart shot up to the number 2 QB changing the mock landscape for many.

It just seems like the 2025 draft had always been labeled a poor QB draft with the 26' draft always touted as laden with great QB's.
I'm just wondering how much Dart, Milroe & whoever were devalued in their placement in mocks to keep the Sanders hype machine elevated in their rightful spot?
It seemed Darts meteoric rise happened right after the negative Sanders murmurs after the combine/pro days. All the while, the Milroe narrative that he was a huge project, high risk, longshot QB prospect never really changed.
It's funny I always saw a lot more red flags in Sanders game than Milroe's.

It's going to be very interesting to follow who excells in this 25' QB class. I also can't wait to see where 2026 dual threat QB LaNorris Sellers is drafted and how his career ultimately compares with Milroe's.

A lot of keypunches to say I think Milroe is a far better prospect than Sanders and we likely got a steal in the 3rd because of that Sanders hype machine.
Milroe couldn't possibly be better than Sanders..., right?

I don’t know if you guys heard during his interview Milroe was very open and candid about he needing to work on things and the interviewer was perplexed as to why Milroe openly admitted he needs to get better at things and he asked Milroe why is he telling him (what would/could be a future employer) Milroe responded in the regards of you should be worried if a player is telling you they have no flaws and needs no more further “work.”

This told me everything I need to know about Milroe. Milroe has all the physical traits you want but more important he is a humble kid that wants to learn and has the desire to do so and more importantly knows he will need help from those around him to get better.

Come on, you gotta love that in a QB!

If you don’t—man, I really don’t know what to tell you!

Milroe, (barring any unforeseen setbacks etc.) is the future!

I have no doubts about it!

You gotta love this kids attitude!

I already love Milroe!

Lets goooooooo!!!!

QB's that had rough rookie seasons.

John Elway
Peyton Manning
Troy Aikman
Dak Prescott
Brett Favre
Terry Bradshaw
Steve Young

Actually most rookie QB's struggle out the gate, when they do excell early they usually have a solid team in place to help carry them.
I feel really good about our QB situation right now. I would not trade Milroe for Bryce Young.

Screw this red zone package crap. I want him to win the starting position before the season begins.
While I am increasingly excited about the prospects of Milroe I definitely do not want him as a starter this year. For one thing Darnold has earned the chance. For another Milroe deserves the chance to improve at his weaknesses and get a feel for the defensive sets and speed of the game before he is thrown to the wolves. Having said that I do believe he has the tools built in to handle a lot of whatever could be sent his way.
Increasingly excited.

Holy shit, Sports Illustrated is quoting *Bleacher Report* of all places. And getting incisive quotes like this:
"Seattle is giving handsome bucks to new starter Sam Darnold, and there’s little reason to believe this team won’t be competitive throughout 2024," Gagnon wrote. "

Umm, does anyone else think we will be competitive throughout 2024? :ROFLMAO:
