Jags helmet

How long has it been two tone? I'm assuming since last year right? How the heck is it that I have not noticed with all the football and highlights I watch. Has to be the ugliest thing I have ever seen in my life (except kaeps tats).

Shad was pretty hands off in his first year of owning the team. Now he's got his own people in place and things are being done to his liking.

I like them. I used to play Magic Cards way back in the day (surprisingly a few other guys on my HS OL/DL did as well), so maybe I am biased towards gradient color combinations.



I really like their jerseys. They pop off the screen at long distance. The black and sea-green ones are really nice.

Kind of funny that out of all the teams they could have done new uniforms for, they gave such cool uniforms to the NFL's most likely to relocate franchise.

The funny thing is, and it's a testament to the running of this cellar dweller, that in the presser they explained the two tone gradient to be a representation of the jaguar moving forward. They wanted it to symbolize the jaguar in his movement pouncing on his prey from out of the dark shadows into the light. In their infinite wisdom they have the black/darkness/shadows on the front of the helmet. To me if that's how you're going to explain your good idea, bad execution (needs to be a longer gradient, it's too abrupt); this is a big fail, just another one to put on the Jags org.

It really does spoil the look doesn't it? Because there's nothing wrong with the uni's if you can accept a modern design. The new logo is an upgrade, while the badge design on the jersey with 'JAGS' above it is a master stroke. It's just those damn helmets...

I've been saying it from day one. If the gradient was more gradual, this might actually look good. But it is so abrupt that it is awful.

The more I see the helmets, the more I don't like them.

Personally, I think it's the ugliest NFL uniform I've ever seen.

Obviously I'm no Seahawk fan, but I actually like the new uniforms they got last year. Those new ones in Jacksonville tho...WOW. Horrible.

I also can't stand the new Vikings unis. I like the flat purple helmet, but the numbers are terrible.

Depends on how recently they last changed their unis. Gotta wait 5 years to change anything.

I think the new uni's are fine, I don't mind the helmets either, they'd be better if the scheme went from gold in the front then blended more to the black in the back, and the black needs to be shiny like the gold. Other than that, i they look fine to me,..

I don't mind them. I usually like helmets that simplistic in nature, but these don't bug me at all. For the next few years the Jags helmets are the least of their worries...

It looks like they lifted that 2-tone helmet color scheme from my daughters softball league.
