Why is that? Tate was not in the Seahawks longterm plans, which is why they gave up so much for Percy Harvin. They offered Tate a deal they thought was fair, and Tate found it laughable in comparison to what Detroit was willing to overpay for him. Thank him for his service over the last few seasons, and move on. Everyone wins.

Why would he be pissed? It's just a comment about needing to save space to extend guys like RW, Sherman, and Thomas. I'm sure Golden understands the math at this point. If Golden was in their tier, he would've been offered an extension a year ago like Kam was.

Its an indirect shot and unlike Tate, you can bet RW, RS and ET dont sniff free agency. Tate got paid so it will ease the burn but to hear that you werent a priority sucks. Then again, he has already figured that out and has moved on Im sure.

You don't think Golden Tate believed that he was a "young, talented" player who deserved to be rewarded (to use JS' words) by the Seahawks? This is what he said in that somewhat infamous interview:

I did everything right, and the offer that they offered, it was like, 'Is this serious?' " he said. "But the organization is offering guys from other places almost three times what they even offered me. And I was kind of like, 'Are you serious? I've given literally everything and this is what you give me.' "

Keeping Bennett was critical and I applaud them for moving on Red Bryant and Chris Clemons. Restructuring Miller was a pretty substantial and kinda ballsy given our lack of depth for dual-threat TEs. You kinda knew Seattle wouldn't be signing anybody this offseason unless it was for a bargain deal.

I do have some concerns and there were a couple of FA decisions I would have liked to have seen gone differently, but it does feel like this offseason is pretty much going the way JS planned it to. That's reassuring.

What Tate deserved and what Seattle could budget at WR are two different things. More power to the Lions for recognizing a FA bargain and a team who couldn't bend much to match them. Seattle wanted to keep Tate, but unfortunately you can't keep every talented player on your team when you are as good as Seattle. Tate was just bitter because he is good friends with RW and had a lot of fun here, he wanted to stay but also had to make a decision for his family. I interpreted his statements less as bitterness and more as frustration.

I'm guessing Tate would be annoyed by that audio but he wouldn't hold anything against Earl, Sherm, or Wilson- the players the audio is referring to. Sounds like he holds something against Harvin though.

There is so much talent on this team, so much potential, so many hungry players waiting for their opportunity to be in the spot light, waiting for their chance to build up their name, and fulfil their dreams.

Any fan here or anywhere constantly crying over losses are just blind and need to wake up to how this team is run and how many young guys have stepped up over the last few years. It will continue to happen because we have a great system, with a great philosophy, with great coaching that won't allow these players to become complacent and force them to the apex of their potential.

Earn your job, play to win or go home. That's why we have been successful and will continue to be successful no matter how many quality players leave or how many changes the Seahawks make in the future.
