Before I say this, I want everyone to know I'm not trying to single anyone out or upset anyone. This is an observation and me trying to be real about what I should have thought might happen...
I think one of the biggest reasons this game seems soooo bad, is so many of us were expecting a complete stomping of the Ram's due to the fact Bradford was out. Then we end up nearly losing to a backup quarterback.
We were so blinded by that aspect that we completely forgot that it's not Bradford that beats us or almost beats us , it's the Ram's defense. Last year, both games, it was their defense and special teams that did it. Hell in the first game they scored their only touchdown on a fake field goal!
Even last year when our starting o-line was perfectly healthy the Ram's front seven took it to us. (If you recall they needed that fake field goal td and a 61 yarder at halftime to squeak by with a win)
Anyway, I realize how bad we looked, but had I put it in perspective before the game I should have figured it'd still be a damn close game. Thank the football gods we won.
We're all obviously very passionate about our team, and you all have every right to be thoroughly upset with our offense and offensive play calling. But keep in mind we won't play another defense so built to beat us this year again other than the Ram's at our house (when we have our starters back, o-line and Harvin).
