If he wanted to re-negotiate his contract every two years, he should have signed a two-year contract.

Once he starts getting fined, I doubt the holdout lasts

Genuinely curious: what's he holding out from?

“I decided to stay, basically, because of the fans,” Bennett said. “I love the fans here. Sometimes money can’t buy happiness, the way I’m happy in Seattle, especially with all the players I get to play with … if it takes a little less (money) to be successful, sometimes it’s worth it.”
"But at the end of the day, it's all about the business part of it. Sometimes people see your value as something else and sometimes you see your value as something different. It's just part of the business. We'll see what happens. The ideal situation would be that I get a raise and that will be something great."
Would you consider Tom a cheater?
Yes.
Do you think he cheated in the Super Bowl?
No, nah. He just won that game. He played a great game.
What's your advice for Russell Wilson now that he's dating Ciara?
He should watch out for Future.
Do you think this will up his game?
It should. She's a lot taller than him.

The impression I got from Bennett when he said that was that it directly related to his request for more money. Meaning, he has chosen to not attend the off-season team workouts and other voluntary activities as leverage. Will that continue into training camp after the FO rather inevitably gives him no new money? I hope not. We are trying to battle for another Super Bowl, and he needs to learn to gel playing beside new players like Frank Clark.
