I thought the officials would decide the outcome of a game

I was concerned it would be the Seahawk - Panther game.

Instead, it was the Packer - 49 game.

It altered the game. And, Harbaugh isn't complaining about it. LOL

Yes...refs screwed up the call.

However...

1) I'm not even sure Staley should have been flagged
2) Matthews threw 2 punches. He probably should have been ejected
3) After Matthews hit Kaep later in the game, he pretty clearly taunted him and should have been flagged which would have given Niners a 1st and goal.
4) There is no guarantee that they would have kicked a FG.
5) This was a second qtr play...not something at the end of the game. Different decisions would have been made on both sides of the ball.

So, while it was a bad call, it was hardly the only reason the 49ers won.

Enjoy the victory.

That officiating crew has probably claimed the bottom of the pecking order for a Supper Bowl appearance after their week one performance.

Every team is going to see variation in the quality of officiating as they progress thru the season.

I'm just greatful Seattle and Carolina drew a relatively competent crew in week 1.

Nope but didn't see Harbough make a statent about how sometimes the refs gets it right and sometimes not. And besides that it was good no-call in the superbowl
