People get hurt a lot easier in blizzards.

Bones are a lot more brittle when they're frozen — no matter how many steroids are pumped into them.

Players catch cold a lot easier after transitioning from warm locker rooms to horrific field conditions.

If you've ever tried yourself to work in such conditions, you understand how stupid the idea of having a Super Bowl in the snow is.

It hurts more, for sure. But since the game is played with much less speed, on a softer surface, I doubt there are actually more serious injuries.

Have you ever done a physical job in a blizzard or ice storm?

I'm betting you have. After all, you are from Utah.

Yes, I have. It hurts. I've also taken several collegiate physics courses. Less speed means less force. These guys are moving much slower in the snow.

Bones are more brittle when they are frozen? Is it your condition that when its snowing and say, 30 degrees outside, that its also frozen inside your body?? Really? Whatever temperature it is outside, unless you are ill, your body is the same temperature inside.

Well good for you.

I've worked on a couple of natural gas pipeline construction crews in icy conditions.

It's no fun to build a pipeline in a blizzard.

You slip and fall, and the boom operators — whose visibility is limited even in normal weather — can't see you. Though frozen, you hafta rise up quickly — or die underneath the tracks.

I can just imagine how fun it was to build that Alaskan pipeline back in the 70s.

Painful.

The first 3 quarters of the Philly Detroit game and the last quarter of the Baltimore Minnesota game is some of the best non seahawk football I've seen in awhile.

Agreed, was insane to watch. Also, having McCoy and Foles on my fantasy team was quite the delight.

The Detroit game was funny to watch, 8 freaking inches at around half time. Johnson's catch where he had a helmet full of snow was hilarious.

No kidding. If you have frozen bones inside, you are way beyond frostbite, which kills soft tissue. At the point your bones get cold, you are dead.
