Every team in the league, in every season, goes prevent defense in situations like this, where a lot of long bombs can reasonably be anticipated.

The defense has been conservative since the middle of the second quarter, too. Huge holes in the field, they’re allowing long drives and not getting off the field. Brisset is going to throw for 400 yards.

We have seen this story many times
- run on first and second down
- either have a minimal or negative run in that combo or a holding call.
- 3rd and long Darnold turns it over or an incomplete pass.
In the playoffs or a tight game you can’t finish games like this with the lead. Get back to quick passes on first down; screens etc and mix up the tempo. It’s highly highly frustrating watching the same movie over and over. Perhaps I should cheer up, they are up by 20 but still I’m a grumpy old man

Our defense has been forced back up to the end zone by our offense for awhile now…

Hard to throw for 400 when the longest field you get is 30-40 yards.
