Dart is a day 2 talent. A team that takes him in the 1st round is in for disappointment.

My thinking on that is, if he isn't a franchise QB, why would you take a backup or less than great starter on day 2? And if he is a franchise guy then why wouldn't you take him day 1. Doesn't really seem like there is an in between to me. I mean why waste 2nd and 3rd round picks on a guy that you don't think is a long term solution? I don't know what Dart is either way though.

Dan Marino fell to #27 because of false rumors that he was using drugs, that likely cost him a SB ring.
This is not a great QB class and we really don't know what we have in either of the Sam's yet.
Unless they identify a guy they really like, I'd rather they take a QB on day 3 to compete in camp. Who knows where that could go but hopefully at least a practice squad guy.
Our QB situation will never improve unless we invest in guys for our coaches to work with, promote competition and fix the OL. If they could ever find the talent, I'd be for carrying 3 on the roster.
Dan had his shot in a SB and finished short, he cost himself a ring if you
ask me.

I think Sanders won’t fall pass #9 now to the Saints with Derek Carr possibly out for the year and Kellen Moore wanting HIS guy. Not sure if his guy is Sanders or Dart but I think they take a QB now

According to McShay, there's a very real chance that Sanders is still on the board at 18. The Saints are out on him. In fact, there's no guarantee the Steelers would take him at 21. Dart seems to be slipping too. Maybe teams are finally wising up and tired of over-drafting average to below average quarterbacks. McShay is saying edge rushers will go early and often this year.

I don't want none of that at 18.

Um, he went 1-7 vs. Ranked Teams. His record at Colorado was 13-11, he beat ONE ranked team, TCU, that ended up going 5-7 on the season.

I'm not crazy about Sanders but this is a nonsense argument. Cam Ward's team record wasn't all that much better than Shadeur's, not sure why that's a relevant measurement.

Colorado had literally one of the worst defenses in college football in 2023, that's not on Sanders, and despite that he did put up good numbers in several of those losses, even against ranked opponents, which is credit to him and indicates he (along with Hunter) were able to keep Colorado competitive in games on their own.

...do the Hawks take him.?

Not likely I know, would you want the Hawks to take him at 18 ?
I can't see Schneider drafting Sanders. He seems to like athletic Quarterbacks with big arms. If the draft is about potential, I could see Milroe getting picked ahead of Shedeur.

Either the team Prime time assembled sucks, or our boy can't handle the extra heat, or both.

But, Schneider, like all geniuses, moves in mysterious ways.

Schneider drafting a QB….bwahahahhahah.

But seriously, per the thread topic, JS isn’t taking Sanders or Dart. If Sanders is still there, I definitely see him listening to offers from other teams…as it likely happens with every single pick.

But he’s not taking a QB in the first three rounds this year. It’s Darnold or bust.
